    what's a "mental detector"
oh scary... 40000 morbidly obese christians wearing fanny packs invading europe is probably the least scariest thing since I watched an edited version of The Care Bears movie in an extremely brightly lit cinema.

  • They're saying the students are safe and the principal has been shot.

Not saying anything about a search.....

    I smell murder/suicide.
  • "Copycat killings" ... The media spreads info about one school shooting, and suddenly you get two or three more. It happens everytime.

so you blame the media? thats interesting. shouldnt they be further down the list of blame?

Hmmm ... No, I do not blame them for causing the original shooting. And obviously, it takes more than just hearing about a shooting to go ahead and do one yourself. There must be some preexisting tendency or desire, that hearing about another shooting then amplifies or disinhibits. But yes, media exposure plays a role, I believe. Hearing about another school shooting in all of its graphic detail can sometimes be be straw that breaks the camel's back ... Given that said camel is already on the verge of collapse, of course. Like I said, just hearing about violence does not turn people into killers.
