happened upon a protest tonight in downtown Chicago. It was very peaceful. It made me proud to be an American. There are many places around the world that this type of activity is unheard of. punishable by torture and death. photos arent that great, I had no tripod and it was at night but took a few good ones.

I'm only going to keep them up for a short time. thought I would share with my friends on the Train.

  • Those are wonderful, jlew! Thank you for sharing them with us. :) I'll be sure to take a bunch at the rally in Asheville Sat. and share them here, too!

I just got back from driving around downtown, I didn't see it because it took Lakeshore, but its cool to know we are still free to voice ourselves. Crazily I was once a Bush supporter, but I've never been a fan of this war. Hopefully change is coming.

Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

Some of the pictures - or more specifically the signs - look unnatural to me. Kind of like they were photoshopped.....poorly.

well they were not. I did no editing to these photos. pictures were taken at night with the flash on. this causes the signs to look brighter (or unnatural) while the background is not.

You should have asked those cops what they were going to spend their overtime pay on.

Not at all. I'm just stating an opinion on the pictures themselves.

I have nothing against the protests or anything the signs are saying. It's just that when I look at them, the signs have the appearance of being manipulated.

    Remember, I'm anti-war myself.
