Well from reading the article you cited, it sounds like a grassroots organization working on voter registration to increase turnout for Obama on Election Day. Or something like that.

Knowing that acoustic guy usually has a point he's trying to make with the threads he starts, I was wondering if there was something I was missing.

I'm guessing something about the probation and doing whatever it takes to get out the black vote. I'm sure that Atlantic City figures in there somewhere as well.
  • much to do about folks that won't show up to vote anyway.....

I don't know, but no doubt it promotes racism.

That's what "The Atlantic City Residents Coalition" is doing. Its organizer was trained in the "Obama Fellowship Program". It does not really say what that is. Not much on google either. Best I could find was this: http://theswom.ning.com/forum/topic/show?id=1306361%3ATopic%3A7124.

Looks like he's using it for his campaign, then to try to help people become community organizers, which, as Palin pointed out, is laughable.

I know a lot of people afraid to register to vote because they are afraid of someone for whatever reason finding out where they are... they don't drive, they don't bank, they don't apply for credit, or have a mailbox even....

    they just can't vote

I think the Obama Fellowship Program was an official program created by the campaign to train people to be local volunteer leaders. I'm not sure, but I think I remember receiving an email from the campaign a while ago to take part in the program.

    What an asinine statement.

Why stop there? Here's a person who contributes nothing to society, why should they have the right to free speech? why should they have a right to a fair trial?

  • Obama fellowship program. It's where Obama puts all his fellow citizens on a ship of subtle deception and floats them around the country.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

No you are right. I agree with you. But, it bothers me that they are finding all walks of life to vote who don't give two shits about it. They don't care about the outcome. Most of them probably don't even know what they are voting for. And this fellowship and or ACORN must know this but don't care about the person . They just want their vote. If they cared so much about these homless people, why don't they help them get sober or teach them. Instead they use them for a vote then forget all about them.

While the actions of these organizations, ACORN's actions are just illegal, are a bit suspect it really doesn't differ from the reverends at these mega-churches urging their members to vote Republican. Both parties, and supporting organizations, do it.

You might be inferring with your argument. While some that I mentioned may be somewhat despicable the majority are simply intelligent people that have chosen to make less accord with the societal traditions regarding the all American lifestyle. They're only beggars if they ask for something and choosers if you understand what they really want.
