Kent, Ohio, March 13th, 2008 ----Josh Hisle, an Iraq War veteran noted for his recent performance with Neil Young and Graham Nash at the Sundance Film Festival, recently announced that he will be traveling to Kent, Ohio for an anti-war concert and fund-raiser. The event, which is titled "Songs of Protest Kent State", will take place on Saturday, May 17th, 2008 which is just days after the 38th anniversary of the famous Kent State shootings of 1970 for which CSNY gained fame with their song "Ohio". The concert will feature Hisle's band "Lost in Holland" as well as other noted acts from the Cleveland area such as Ryan Kralik, Aaron Brooks of Trendy and other "Very Special Guests". The Robin Hood Live!, a 350 capacity concert venue in downtown Kent, will house the event.
Hisle appears and performs music in the new film "Deja Vu" which chronicles Crosby, Stills, Nash and Young's 2006 "Freedom of Speech Tour" and he recently performed with Neil Young and Graham Nash at January's "Sundance Film Festival" in Park City, Utah where "Deja Vu" premiered. Josh has also been featured on CNN's Anderson Cooper 360 and other news networks in recent months.
Neil Young commented on Hisle's music, "His songs have a lot of heart and could really reach many ears and hearts. I was struck by this man and his dedication."
