this is becoming all too common. at least they're serving in afghanistan and not iraq:

I just saw on the news that these troops "picked the fight", they went into the Taliban stronghold seeking out these guys on intelligence they were in that area...they knew what the risk was, and I am proud of them for it..It's a shame though, it was also reported that these dead were just a couple weeks away from coming home.
well it looks like they're coming home a little early. it's not only the deaths that bother me, it's the "injured". when they say on the news that 4 troops were "injured" or "wounded" that could mean anything, such as brain damage, lost limbs, lost eye sight, massive blood loss, hearing loss, burn victims, paralysis, etc. we just hear the words "injured" and "wounded" and we don't really know what happened to them.

Why does where they are make it better? I thought the islamic threat was an illusion created for our fears to be fed.
