No matter who wins this election. The one thing I think can be brought out as a positive is that there is a lot more people getting involved and standing up for what they believe in. Whether you agree with that person or not it is a good thing that we are all taking part in this democratic proccess.

Whoever wins this election I hope can bring our country back to it's greatness.

    I hope that happens, too.

I know that I am personally inspired to get off my ass and do something to try and help turn this ship around. I don't know what that means, yet, but I feel like I have to do something.

Well said. I agree and so do the numbers. It's by far the biggest turnout for a presidential election so far. Scores of people registering to vote. Having said that, I don't think McCain has a chance. Seems like nothings really going in his favor. We shall see.

I support John McCain, but sometime it is more now because I do not like Obama. That is just my opinion. If Barack wins I pray he works out. If not well 2012 see you later. that is the only thing I can do.

  • i'm usually pretty cynical, but i've been kinda impressed with how people actually seem to be paying attention lately. the general public has been asleep for so long i didnt think it was possible for them to wake up, even when motivated by a crashing economy. but look at the bailout situation. people were pissed off on both sides. they were pissed off at the leadership. people acted. they threatened with votes. its a small hope but maybe, just maybe things are slowly changing.

You damn right people want to get involved with the Democratic process especially the economy fluctuating like it has. Peeps savings are eroding.

    I hope so.

My dad was the kind of guy that called and wrote his senators/representatives, etc... I grew up thinking that was normal, lol. And it should be!

Maybe the one good thing that will come out of the shitty state of our country right now is that people will realize that it is up to ALL of us to make it better.
