Around this time 8 years ago Gore held a 11 point lead over Bush II and Dukakis had a 17 point lead over Bush I. So polls can be misleading.

Polls can definitely be misleading, but with regards to Gore and Dukakis, they shot themselves in the foot in the waining days of their campaign.
yeah, I watched Fox today too ...
but, a correction ... Dukakis was up on Bush 41 by 17 points on July 21 .. and what Fox failed to mention, he inexplicably took a month off in August ...
As for Gore ... well, people will argue who actually won that election ... but, whatever.
Indeed, anything can happen, I don't think ANYONE is saying this is a done deal ... but, one thing the above elections didn't have, the HUGE amounts of early voting going on right now ... historically, the "young" vote wouldn't show up on election day, but, I think the Obama campaign has been on the ground making sure people vote early.
We'll see ... 4 weeks left.

Gore DID win that election..

Palin is making her way up my poll
Sure it's not the other way around?
You too could be the father of the next child born to the Palin! A brand new winner every week!
