Its a sad state of affairs when its SNL who delivers the most cogent political analysis in recent memory ... Hilary Clinton, the woman, is the "black candidate".
Obama is only half-black, too. Apparently its the Tigers Woods phenomenon: Any amount of black ancestry is a "master status" in America (master status is a sociological term, BTW ... No other connotation is meant here), such that this is the aspect that everyone focuses on (Tiger Woods is half-Asian, for those who don't know). "Ooo, he's BLACK!!!!". Classic, though. Don't worry about the political implications ... Just vote for the man, because Hillary is just some doormat that Bill cheated on, and she's a woman, besides. Has anyone else noticed how much derogatory material related to Hillary Clinton is out there?
Yep but oh how they cry and act disgusted anytime she shoots some back their way.
It's irrational, ridiculous and blaringly hypocritical.
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

She is deserving of every bit of it. Frankly, i don't think there is enough.
the hate for hillary and for the clintons in general, never ceases to amaze me. not saying she's my favorite person, nor do i want her to get the dem nod, but none the less.....she IS a highly intelligent woman, with some great ideas, a hard worker and obviously well-versed in the political spectrum. i have said before i think at this point she wants *it* too much, and for the wrong reasons....and is just fighting like a dog to win, not thinking the consequences through. at a different time maybe, i'd have been all for her. i used to have the utmost respect for her, can't pinpoint exactly when it started to fade....but i still don't get the utter hatred spewed at her.

I feel exactly the same. I don't know exactly where I started disliking Senator Clinton. I was not a fan of her carpet bagging in New York. The claims that she was part Jewish or a lifelong Yankees fan showed me that she was the type to say anything to get elected.
When it became clear that she was going to run for President, I really did not like the attitude that she gave off that it was somehow owed to her. I didn't like the idea of another Bush or Clinton at the top of the ticket, which has been the case my whole life.
Policy wise there is not much of a difference at all. I don't think our country has been this divided since 1968, and with Hillary I remember the partisan bickering from the 90's. To heal this country, we have to move beyond that.

i'm a NYEr, and i didn't have a problem with the carpet bagging issue...and don't have a problem with the job she's done here either, overall. i always chalked all that up to her driving amibiton, and i truly thought that amibition was rooted in a good cause, her true ideals, her love of country, etc. now...not so much. i DO think all that was there, once upon a time...i just think it has fallen by the wayside. why...how...? fuck if i know, and i could be entirely mistaken as well......just my gut reaction nowadays to her. tis a shame.
however, someone somewhere here did mention, and rightly so...at the very least, hillary clinton and barack obama ARE making history, even if neither ever make it to the white house. at the very least, it's something...and something important i think. first steps usually are. hopefully we DO elect someone right for the job and up for the daunting tasks ahead.
In a year they could pick a hobo off the street and get him elected, they give us a black man and a disliked woman, WTF. I have no problem with having a black man or woman as president, but is America really going to do this? How do they always fuck up? Why can't America elect on the issues instead of the personality like a stupid popularity contest? In social programs advocates vs. feed the corporations bigots - the dems would always win. As long as it was a WMA, they could dress up a homeless man and win this year.
Notice how the Obama attack material is already creeping into the media and Obama people are blaming Clinton for pictures of him in Turbans? Wrong. The Republicans are already on the move. They can attack Obama now and blame Clinton. Once it's really on with the Republicans Obama is dead meat. He won't be able to handle the heat.
