What do you think about your tax payer dollars being allocated to Welfare Programs such as food stamps and cash aid. Do you think there should be more stipulations placed on what is purchased with that EBT cash card?
How do you feel if you know that people are spending your tax dollars to create more destruction in their personal environments. For instance, you go to a departmental grocery store and you see someone buy liquor and lottery? It would seem to raise an eyebrow for certain, especially when children accompanying such consumers ask for something and the caretaker says, No, we don't have enough money.
Now, take this a bit further...how do you feel if a consumer uses that same EBT cash card for purchases such as adult entertainment?
Good day.

I think that if someone is spending someone else's $, that the person giving th emoney has the right to determine what it can and cannot be used for...maybe not in great detail but in overall categories.
I hate it when I see someone paying for a bunch of groceries with food stamps and then they get out their cash to buy liquor, cigarrettes, etc.
Of course, in order to feel human, I can undertsand the need to be free to purchase what you want.
So I guess instead of severe limitations on what you can buy, there needs to be more limitation on how long you can obtain aid and steps you must take in order to keep it once you have it.
i would feel teh same way that i feel when my country takes my money an dgives it to very rich people who took a risk in bad loans. i would also feel teh same way if my country took my country to fight a war that was not needed. pissed off. howver i have a feeling that we have wasted more money on the bailout and the war.
in all seriousness, i understand what you are saying but my main concern is who will determined what is truly needed. i once got yelled at becuase i gave a homeless person a smoke. teh person said that i should hav egiven teh person a sandwich but not a smoke. i told that person that for teh homeless man that smoke was better than a simple sandwich. smoking limits hunger and when you don't know when your next meal is coming from that is a great thing.

I couldn't have said this better.
Honestly, I'd rather have my tax dollars going to help those who need it, even if some abuse the system, than have them going towards the purchase of bombs or CEO bonuses.
It makes me wonder, because in my state the only people who recieve cash aid are parents of dependent children. I wonder if people who buy such items could possibly be a member of Meggan's category and this causes an alarm...
Please don't get me wrong, I am not again adult entertainment nor any other vices. With the economy tightening up, people will tend to seek out immediate forms of escape.
