Today at 1:p.m pst, this will be happening. Unfortunately I am only there in sprit today; however, I gave C a call and wished them support. I hope goes well, becasue this time, school threatened to have him arrested for standing strong. In meantime, parties are trying to have C speak at democratic pow wow. He says he is gonna do it becasue he is inspired by Stephen Colbert...

Anyway, I figured it would help if I planted a seed for positive visualization.


SHUT DOWN MILITARY RECRUITMENT


WEDNESDAY, MAY 16TH, 2007, 1:00 PM at Upper Lake park on highway 20…


On Wednesday, May 16th, 2007, Guerrilla Youth will be organizing with schools across Lake County, in coalition with our crew members across the state to shut down military recruitment on our school campuses. We will be going on strike, and we will be walking out of school for every single day that our demands are not met. Our demands are to ban all military recruiters from walking the halls of our campuses. Limiting them to a desk in the library. Upper Lake high school students will be participating in this state wide strike by walking out of school and marching down to the upper lake park on highway 20. We will be walking out right after lunch at 12:55 PM., and will arrive at the park at 1:00 PM until school is over. We will continue to do this for as long as our demands are not met…

What can you do to help?
1. Sign our petition to ban all military recruiters from walking the halls of Upper Lake campus. Designating them to a desk in the library…
2. Please help get the word out! Make many copies of this flyer and please distribute widely…

I may have posted this already, I am not certain, but just in case I didn't. Conrad is littlebigman's son..He is trying to wake up, his peers..He has been passing out flyers like the one above to all the schools; last week he was threatened to be arrested.
Subject: Principal threatens to file suit against Guerrilla Youth



ok, first of all, you should know that i disenrolled from upper lake high school a couple of months back... although i have been going there regularly to organize students to take action on these issues and up until now i have had no problems...

so today i walked on to the campus of upper lake high and starting handing out flyers to people... this went well and i even had a passionate discussion with a military recruiter that was close by...

then i walked into the office and i was immediately asked by a counselor what was my business coming onto school premises... you see, they know me pretty well and they know i am encouraging kids to go on strike... so i told her that i am here to deliver a message to Mr. Iaccino the principle...

So i got into Mr. Iaccino's office and told him that if military recruiters are not banned from walking the halls of the campus, and not limited to a desk in the library, then Guerrilla Youth will be taking immediate action and we will go on strike until our demands are met.

his response was threatening to file suit against Guerrilla Youth for the loss of federal money that would result from us going on strike... i then said that we welcome any action taken against us and we encourage it... he then threatened to have me immediately arrested if i did not leave school grounds...
