Australian Idol Contestant - Big PJ Fan

Hey Folks,
I couldn't find anything searching, so I presume no one has mentioned it, but there is a guy on Australian Idol at the moment who is a huge PJ and Eddie fan.. check out his profile, he mentions Eddie about 3 times. I'm not a big fan of the show and I certainly wouldn't waste my money voting, but I think good on a guy with good taste in music for giving the whole idol bizare thing a go.

    Johnny has a great voice but I think he may have messed up with that Elvis song. :(

    Ugh. Big Brother died. Starbucks is all but dead in this country. The NSW premier resigned. Howard got voted out (go me!). Eddie Everywhere isn't on tv anymore. Can't this thing follow suit?

    Jonny Taylor is still in. I normally don't like Idol either but will probably keep watching as long as he's on. He's pretty good.

    I HATE Australian Idol..only ever watch it to see the REALLY bad auditions..not gonna watch it just cause there's a guy on there that likes PJ...Idol sucks!!!

    Yeh not a massive fan. I saw 2 minutes of this show this series, and he was singing Elvis and it was so shit. But good luck to him. Thanks for posting anyway.

    i hated the Aussie-ness of "can't" too and agree with Dicko (wow.. Dicko owes Eddie for somewhat launching his career? nice)

    Dr Who is 7:30-8:30 and there's wheelchair rugby on ABC2 8:30 when that finishes.

    If I want to see 'real' people murdering songs on tv, I'll video myself singing along to the radio or stereo and put that on.

    man i have been loving the coverage ABC have done on the Paralympics. they have done a better job then 7 did with the norm olympics.


    that women's basketball game last night against the yanks was epic.

    He was pretty rubbish, the poor bloke. I ended up watching the show. A few good people on there. that large girln was pretty good. And I saw the Indian one at the shops today.... I'm really not that big of a fan...

    It's giving kids that would never have a chance at a music career a chance to have one. A lot of the kids that make it through have written songs and play instruments. They deserve to have the chance. What's the difference how they make it?? The kid David Cook that won American Idol this year went to the auditions to support his brother that auditioned. H ended up auditioning too then ended up winning. If you get a chance listen to him sing. You'll see why he won.

    BTW violent rap and no longer selling albums is what's ruined the music industry

    Thanks. yeah she got me a Wii. i don't know where a 11 month old gets the money from, but i'm thinking she stole it from my wallet.

    who wins in idol- the tv networks

    I remember the days when you actually had to work in the music industry to actually succeed in it. instead of competing in a karaoke.
    PJ and others succeeded because of their songs- the ones they wrote. other bands succeeded in playing other peoples tunes in bars and clubs but only to a small level, a bit of money but a struggle to make a living.
    not only is this a problem for musicians but what of actors/ scriptwriters etc who now have a lot less work because of shows like idol. instead of everyone getting a wage- 1 person wins a prize. is that progress.
    I dont think so
    but thats just my opinion
