IIWP Worldwide Peace Prayer
Hello Beloved Peacemakers,
John-Roger, the Founder of the Institute for Individual and World Peace, once described its activity as that of individuals going inside to find the peace and then bringing that peace out into the world. The Worldwide Peace Prayer is one way that we each, as a diverse group of individuals from around the planet, come together as a family of Peacemakers, to find the peace within and to share that peace out into our world.
We are not alone in this activity-in a way we are like one branch of a tree of peace that has many branches, each branch fulfilling its particular contribution to the peace that is always here,always present. As we do our peace work,
individually and as a group, we join with all peacemakers across the planet, on multiple levels,who share in this ministry of peace.
At this time we are offering an opportunity to expand more into the giving of our peace into the world by including an additional focus toward peace for those areas of the planet that come to our attention. We invite you to take a moment to attune to the peace within, and then to choose an area of the planet or a group of people for whom you would like to pray for a period of 30 days.
This prayer could be as simple as taking a moment to send the Light for the Highest Good to the area or people you have chosen. Or, you could use the words of our Peace Prayer as your focus. The regularly scheduled rounds of the Worldwide Peace Prayer will continue as always, but for those of us who choose to do this, we will also be praying for or sending the Light to a specific area or people on earth as we chant inwardly or outwardly the words of our prayer:
"I love you,
God bless you,
Peace, be still.
I give you my peace."
During the times when the regularly scheduled rounds of the IIWP Worldwide Peace Prayer are not taking place, we will also be sending occasional reminders and invitations to continue with sending our Light and prayers for the specific areas of
the planet we have chosen.
We close with a quote from John Morton, IIWP's Spiritual Director,
"I see the world at peace. If we can hold that thought, that thought has a power. The thought is witnessing a reality of peace in the world. By witnessing the possibility that it can take place and holding it in my consciousness, then that becomes something that is transmitting into the world. It's like a seed of peace that I'm
planting from my consciousness into the world."
