That wouldn't just be destroyed by the Republican hate and lie machine? It's really unbelievable. Seriously, are there any untouchable candidates? You know, the press has given McCain a whole lot of passes. I'm not in love with Obama, but if you can throw him under a bus for what his preacher said and mixing up uncles and death camps, I don't know who the Dems can nominate that won't get put through a grinder.

The real intelligent patriotic Americans are no longer being fooled by the non issues. Only those of lower intellect and the hate and fear mongers continue to subscribe to the Republican spin machine. And there's a lot less of them than there was from the last elections.

If you're a Democrat though, you should be concerned with the likelihood hat a 3rd party candidate will emerge with a strong following .

  • Like Strangest Tribe said, if people are gullible enough to be hoodwinked by all those shenanigans, they deserve whatever mediocre-or-worse candidate they elect. If they're not voting for a Dem based on real issues, however, then the likelihood of a strong 3rd party candidate emerges.

Unfortunately, I see the former as being the more likely outcome.

I will vote for the best candidate. I'm not sure who that is right now, but I can tell you it isn't John McCain. There are no perfect candidates. Not even Ron Paul or Ralph Nader. I will make a thorough review of Obama, Nader, and whoever else may catch my interest and will base my decision based on the platform I most agree with, period. Non of this ridiculous sideshow BS that consistently makes the headlines matters to me. Honestly, I'm to the point where I won't even watch CNN or MSNBC any more. There isn't a whole lot of difference between the networks any more. Faux News is Faux News, but at least you know what to expect.
