Do I think they have the votes to do it?

nah, but I'm fed up and I need to have my voice heard.

if you're fed up too, go to a website that will register your opinion

impeachbush.org

all they need is a million votes and they can get the ball rolling

please help to at least make this part of the legacy of the worst presidency in US history.

Impeachment is usually brought up on some kind of legal action or precedent.

What is your legal argument for impeachment?

oops guess I should've said "bring em on", clearly that would have appealed to your sensabilities.

since you are stooping to namecalling and not addressing my point I'll assume you don't refute it.

    Actually your assumption is wrong

I did'nt name-call. I asked you a serious question and you gave me the reaction of a child. I merely wanted to find out if you were one.

If I ask you for a legal argument for the impeachment of the President of the United States, and you respond by saying something along the lines of " He spied on his people, end of story " , you gave me a picture of a brat , with his arms folded, stomping his foot, unable to produce a sensible arguement.

You followed up a later post with the case to be made and I thanked you for that.

And I do refute it, by the way, but was only curious as to your reason.

    Peace to you

    1. Violating the United Nations Charter by launching an illegal "War of Aggression" against Iraq without cause, using fraud to sell the war to Congress and the public, misusing government funds to begin bombing without Congressional authorization, and subjecting our military personnel to unnecessary harm, debilitating injuries, and deaths.

    2. Violating U.S. and international law by authorizing the torture of thousands of captives, resulting in dozens of deaths, and keeping prisoners hidden from the International Committee of the Red Cross.

    3. Violating the Constitution by arbitrarily detaining Americans, legal residents, and non-Americans, without due process, without charge, and without access to counsel.

    4. Violating the Geneva Conventions by targeting civilians, journalists, hospitals, and ambulances, and using illegal weapons, including white phosphorous, depleted uranium, and a new type of napalm.

    5. Violating U.S. law and the Constitution through widespread wiretapping of the phone calls and emails of Americans without a warrant.

    6. Violating the Constitution by using "signing statements" to defy hundreds of laws passed by Congress.

    7. Violating U.S. and state law by obstructing honest elections in 2000, 2002, 2004, and 2006.

    8. Violating U.S. law by using paid propaganda and disinformation, selectively and misleadingly leaking classified information, and exposing the identity of a covert CIA operative working on sensitive WMD proliferation for political retribution.

    9. Subverting the Constitution and abusing Presidential power by asserting a "Unitary Executive Theory" giving unlimited powers to the President, by obstructing efforts by Congress and the Courts to review and restrict Presidential actions, and by promoting and signing legislation negating the Bill of Rights and the Writ of Habeas Corpus.

please explain why. back up your arguement.

If your opinion is that the president is above the law, I accept that though I disagree with it.

In my view, any republican that thought being impeached for lying about a blow job was a good thing but not for massive death and destruction is a hypocrite.

Since I already gave money to move on.org and am a registered Democrat I assume he already has me on a list,

#1) I was not against removing Clinton for lying about a blow job, so I don't believe you can paint me as a hypocrite

#2) I don't feel a president is above the law, but I do believe in certain executive powers IF, and only IF it is for the best interests of the country.

You talk of the Patriot Act and label it as a spying program. You see it that way, fair enough. I look at a country that has not had an act of terrorism take place in almost 6 years, when no one thought that would be possible, I've seen almost 20 plots , big and small , being broken up over the 6 years.
All of these could have killed Americans, and yes I believe the actions Bush has taken since 9/11 have prevented these attacks from happening, and I believe it has been worth it.

I can discuss anything you want, you will find that I won't resort to name-calling, and you will find that I don't blindly support Bush either. But if you don't think that this guy has done what he has done because he believes he is doing the right thing to protect this country, then that is clearly where we differ.

By the way, I dont' think Dick Cheney is reading this e-mail with a sinister smile on his face.

based on the way you worded it, I stand by my statement.

so, you're just going to take the word of the king of all liars. This "president" (puppet) who lied to get us into a war, fear mongered, hate mongered, illegally smeared federal justices, bailed out convicted felons to save Cheneys ass, given himself supreme power above all in an "emergency" (even though he completely ignored disasters in louisiana and kansas) and is currently emptying the tresury and giving it to his cronies.

This is the short list and it's only the stuff we know about.

    this is your guy? Whatever.

Clearly, I don't think the evidence supports this at all. Is it really going to have to come down to martial law, prision camps, and food lines before you get it? Farfetched you say? ask a german citizen in the late 1930s if they thought that their government was going to slaughter 6 million people.
