if he wins, thats something i as a balding guy could feel good about.....seems like having hair, and being in shape and relatively attractive is a prerequiste for being president these days.....so it would be a victory of sorts to have a bald president, to show America is maybe not as superficial as it seems in this age of plastic surgery and implants

The way a person looks is not a good reason to vote for or against anybody.

  • Well, Ben Harrison was the last president with a beard and Taft was the last prez to have any type of facial hair, so maybe looks do have something to do with it.

It is not a good reason, but it is interesting. There have been plenty of studies and analysis done and height, hair, glasses, physique, etc... do matter. Think back - when have we had a short, fat, balding pres? FDR was lucky he lived in a time when media scrutiny didn't exist. He was able to hide his disabilities from the public fairly successfully, but never would win an election in the modern era. Even something like a cigarette habit is verboten. Obama had to quit smoking before running for pres because we wouldn't elect a smoker. Rumors have it that Laura Bush is a smoker, but I don't recall seeing pictures of her with a cig. Image is unfortunately crucial these days. I'd prefer substance over image, but we get what we deserve.

Sorry for the typo, but you know what I meant. It's pretty pathetic to denigrate a guy that old, when you know that most of us couldn't keep up with him and probably aren't as smart.

I don't know about the bald thing.

But he certainly wouldn't be the first retarded president we've had.

Sure I do. I have observation.Do you know what kind of hours that guy is putting in and how difficult it would be to get on national television and compete in a debate? How many people could do either? I'm pretty sure I can't.

Heh, it was more the smart comment i was referring to!
No doubt he has been putting in tons of hours, that doesn't make him smarter though!
  • I don't think McCain is bald.

You might be confusing him with Cheney?!?

Mccain is the enemy. As are most politicians.
