dont you think maybe now is the time to ramp up the demonstrations and protests and such? considering you now have a president that may have to listen to you (since you helped put him in office). or is the whole movement dead by now?

The war in Iraq is winding down, we're very close to "victory". Iragi parliament is weighing its options as far as our continued presence there. This is soon to be a non-issue. It's convenient to protest this war now, as we're pretty much on our way out (with objectives acheived) already. that Obama might get any credit for success in the middle east is just jerky, but we gotta move on. The seeds of demoracy are planted, right or wrong, now it's up to them.

My convo with the Sheriiff with whom I dined two nights ago reminded me: we have bigger problems with China (and North Korea) and it's desire to conquer Taiwan right about now. China, with the North Korea sidekick, is seeking to be the preeminent power in any form of a new Asian Union. At least the Middle East has some deference to us, while China and Korea are constantly giving us the middle finger.
