Considering that the Congress historically gets low approval ratings... and the same fucking assholes hold their seats for 40 fucking years, it says that the voters have to share in the blame.
And 29% is the usual voter turnout in Senatorial and Congressional elections... the 29% is 100% of the people who actually voted. The other 71% who are too busy playing their fucking Playstation on those Tuesdays need to either get their sorry asses out to the polling stations or shut the fuck up.

29% is from last month. This month he dropped to 24% according to the article. Nixon was popular compared to this guy !

It seems different this time though, people are really pissed. I've heard hardcore conservatives openly bash George. Many regard him as a sellout at best. It wouldn't suprise me if a few southern states like Louisiana and Tennessee turn blue in the next election.

I think Katrina, illegal immigration and Iraq has destroyed much of Bush's base. It's been a long time since the Republican party has moved so far to the middle to try to hold onto voters. Giuliani would have never been a serious candidate 8 years ago.

With congress, i agree with the article about "throwing the bums out".
