but there's always Ralph Nader I think he's friends with Ron Paul, but I could be wrong.
Edit: The latest thing I found on him was in March, which says he's still running. Don't know about after that.

The most Paul-like guy that's left is Chuck Baldwin, he won the Constitution Party's nomination, and helped Ron Paul with his campaign before it ended.

Some will tell you Bob Barr of the Libertarian Party will be the most like Ron Paul. I think he did vote in favor of the Patriot Act, and a few other things that made me wonder how he really could be compared to Paul.
Ron has endorsed neither Barr or Baldwin officially, but has spoken positively of both of them, and I'd say he's even slightly favored Obama over McCain in his interviews, in how he's spoken of those two.
Baldwin is my choice, for now anyway.
on edit: I think I found my replacement for Ron Paul. He looks like someone who will stand up for this country.
Man, Baldwin's site just scared the hell out of me. I opened it in another tab and I have my headphones on listening to the 'roo boot and some loud ass MIDI music started playing.
He seems too evangelical to me. I'm ready for an atheist candidate so we can drop all this pandering to the Ned Flanders of the country.
Seriously, how many times does it need to be posted that Nader does tons of work during non-election years?? He is always spreading his message...just because you don't hear about it in the mainstream media doesn't mean it doesn't exist. Just like hardly anyone was talking about Ron Paul until 2007...hell, I think people on this board actually brought up Nader in non-election years and can't remember any posts on Ron Paul until he was rumored to be considering a run for the presidency. (I'm not trying to take anything away from Paul...I believe him to be a genuine, honest and hard working individual who believes strongly in his principles. I'm just making a point.)
You can't name me one person who does more work than Ralph Nader at spreading his message and building up his causes throughout the years. It's been a steady and persistent effort since he took on GM way back in the day. It's been his whole life....public service.

Amen.
Until then, I'll be writing in Paul in November.
I know he has dedicated his life to public service, he deserves a thanks for that. But if he were so serious about running for President why this last minute stuff? Personally I haven't heard about him since 04, he is like a ghost. He needs to stay in the spotlight, yes in the mainstream media, for people to notice.
Honestly I wish he and Paul would get together and make a real third party that works. If people really wanted change in Washington there is the answer, not casting a vote for a clone or an empty suit.
In some circles he never leaves the spotlight. I believe he is a tireless worker. But as far as a mainstream presidential campaign, it takes lots and lots of money. I don't think he has any desire to spend his life fundraising, and stumping. He comes in late in the game because that is what his funds allow. He sparks debate, gets the candidates responding to his issues, gets people asking hard questions of their candidates, and hopefully makes a difference. I don't think he harbors any illusions about actually being president. His campaign is much like Ron Paul's in that respect.
While I'm sure that Paul and Nader would agree on many issues, there are some very fundamental differences in philosopy which I think would preclude them from joining forces. But I'm happy both are out there working to make this country a better place, and giving us an alternative to the two parties that have put us into chaos.
Bob Barr is the Libertarian candidate for el presidente... but somehow he doesn't strike me as being a whole lot like Ron Paul. Libertarianism is supposed to be about both social and economic freedom, but Mr. Barr seems to only support economic freedom (repealing the 16th amendment, reduction in gov't spending, etc) and not about social freedom (voted for the Patriot Act, authored the "defense of marriage act," supports war on drugs, etc). He was a lifelong Republican up until a few years ago (I think 2004) and it seems like he holds many typical Republican views.
Idealistically, Ralph Nader is very similar, and they hold many of the same views on "social" freedoms.
