I thought liberals were supposed to be "Accepting/Sympathetic/Kind" These forums are a prime example why a democrat will struggle to EVER be elected into office. You would think, with all of Bush's fuck ups a democrat would have no problem being elected. Its all this fucking negative shit, people are just tired of hearing about "Inside Jobs"

Snow was a good man, always put his two girls and wife first. Great family man, just like Russert.

I've learned from this thread that there are some real miserable pricks in this world.

And I'm not talking about Tony Snow.

    Tony who?

Why is this thread still going? Seriously, more worthy people die every day. Get over it.

Patriot?? Fuck that. Tony Snow was at best a liar and a frontman for this criminal administration. This man doesnt deserve my respect.
  • I liked him, all the while vehemently disagreeing with him on almost every issue. He was a 1st class bullshit slinger, but he seemed like a really good guy. The right wing is certainly worse off for having lost him, as he was one of their few likeable sorts

It's funny how the right is so quick to act all high and mighty when the libs are upset. Maybe it's because the neocon right has been destroying the country since 2000 and stripping away American's civil liberties- not to mention sending countless soldiers to a pointless death, and murdering tens of thousands of civilians along the way.

But hey, there's nothing really to be negative about, right?

Please. Any sensible person, dem or rep should be furious over what this administration and its cronies have done to the US, the world and the environment.

I agree. That man was a professional liar.

It's one thing to be upset about the state of our country.

It's another thing to be throwing a party because someone died.

Some of you people are acting like Snow was the architect of the Iraq War or something. No. 1 -- He didn't have that much power. No. 2 -- He came along way late in the game, after the cows were already way out of the barn, and he was only there for a year or less. He had very little to do with any decision-making policies whatsoever.

It's like anybody whoever came within a 2-foot radius of George Bush is now pure evil to some of you, as if evil is a communicable disease. (Oh shit ... I once met him when he was the governor of Texas? Does that make me Satan now?)

This thread has been really, really eye-opening, and it makes me sad about the state of this country. I always knew we had become a deeply divided nation. I never thought we were so divided we'd be celebrating the deaths of people on the other side. It really is sick. If it's gotten to this point, it makes me think there's little chance for us ever to be united again. And that's sad.

I'm kind of hoping most of you on this thread are just fringe crackpots. That would make me feel better.

I think this type of hate really is a syndrome of the left ... I couldn't imagine anyone I know celebrating if Nancy Pelosi were hit by a bus or something.

I wish you guys weren't so full of hate, but I guess that's your problem, not mine.

I dont believe anyone is celebrating the death as much as no one gives a rat's ass he is gone. The man was the lying mouth of a lying administration so we are supposed to go into mourning for the guy? Screw that. This isnt a this side vs that side situation - Snow was an important part of this lying regime so he has zero respect from me. No hate...just no respect thus his death has no relevance in my life whatsoever. It is your right to fall into the fetal position and cry all week for his passing but the rest of us will pass on that.

Hate and fear is the right's platform. Where have you been the last 8 years?

from a non-american perspective this whole liberal/conservative-divide seems really...let's say odd...

it seems to be an accepted fact on "both sides" that the respective "other side" can be described as an unanimous bloc and given attributes like hateful, deceptive, hypocritical (and what have you) AS A WHOLE without any differentiation..."every side" considers itself morally superior to the other...
even people who are sorry about this divide still refer to the "left's hateful behaviour" in general...
the terms liberal and conservative are equal to insults it seems...

not even an argument is possible. whenever someone makes an argument that differs from someone else's that one will respond with something like "yeah, of course you don't like what I say, because it differs from your believes" often without any factual substance whatsoever...
it seems pointless...after a while the discussion mostly leads to some kind of accusation that someone is just pushing an agenda or something...

is that what two-party-systems lead to eventually??
is it the same in the UK with Labour and Tory???

    sorry, it's off-topic...
I just saw tony snow on the daily show and the colbert report, both in clips and in interviews...he was a dick and a nice guy, I guess...should be proof enough that it's not all so black and white...

So then why are people even posting on this thread? There are thousands of threads on this forum ... if I've got no opinion on a subject, I generally don't post on that thread.

The fact that you (and others) are posting on this thread means that you DO give a rat's ass. And not in a productive way.

    It's really unbecoming.

Not giving a rat's ass he is dead and having no opinion are two different things. That IS my opinion, duh.
