    i was raised Protestant and no one in my church ever talked bad about the Pope or the Vatican, but there always a sense that Catholics were bad Christians... but the Catholics outnumbered the Protestants where I grew up, and all of my friends were Catholics. occasionally, i went to Catholics masses with friends, and although the rituals and grandeur of it kinda freaked me out, i was just happy to be around people who were not freaks about God. Catholics were/are so much more relaxed about their religion. my church annoyed the shit out of me during my whole childhood, although at the time I thought I was lucky because I didn't have to go to confession and learn a ton of prayers.


    anyhoo, i stopped believing in 'God' when I was 17.
