Does that mean that the title of this thread is a "spin" job?
All the world will be your enemy, Prince with a thousand enemies, and whenever they catch you, they will kill you. But first they must catch you, digger, listener, runner, prince with the swift warning. Be cunning and full of tricks and your people shall never be destroyed.
Thanks. I was wondering if anyone was going to mention that. I read the column earlier today. How could I not with that title? Talk about potentially inflammatory. I'm no Ditto-head but I'll agree with the self-aggrandizing Limbaugh on one of his points: people will blame him for the "magic negro" comment. Hell, it happened on this board.
"Almost all those politicians took money from Enron, and there they are holding hearings. That's like O.J. Simpson getting in the Rae Carruth jury pool." -- Charles Barkley

No, it's not. But I will say that I think Limbaugh probably wants people to blame him for "magic negro". It seems he believes that being hated is better than being forgotten.

I was just asking cause I thought everyone knew it was just a joke
what are you talking about? i read the original thread and understood the intent of putting this one up. it's called playing along.
regardless, limbaugh does need to be tortured, shot, maimed, crippled and exiled from this planet, mmmkay? just for existing.
as long as they do it in club gitmo..i'll go along...i only expect the best treatment
and it's not called playing along, it's called being too intellectually dishonest (not to mention dumb) to actually debate.
really, it's embarrassing...my thread had a point, if it's worthwhile to be addressed, address it there...if you want to avoid it, make another one...well done.
And you ask me what I want this year
And I try to make this kind and clear
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
Cuz I don't need boxes wrapped in strings
And desire and love and empty things
Just a chance that maybe we'll find better days
I was just asking cause I thought everyone knew it was just a joke
Well aren't you the smart one. Nope, guess I didn't get the joke. It sure sounded like Limbaugh to me.

Dude, I worked in a trailer on a coal pile for one year and listened to Limbaugh every day for his three hours unless the Cardinals played a day game. I couldn't stand the horrible FM radio stations in southern Illinois and this was pre-sports talk in this part of the world so he was the only option. This was back in '93 or '94 so I got to hear him in all his Clinton-bashing glory. Ruth "Buzzy" Ginsberg, the Somali warlord "Skyhook Abdul Jabar," Jocelyn Elders, etc. He would make some good points but he also said stuff for simple shock value.

he does say things for shock value b/c it's about time...i grew up listening to people like maher and carlin....as a kid i'm sitting there watching them and everyone is laughing and i'm like "seriously?" throw in snl, and every other media outlet...
rush was the first one to make his points, but introduce humour...he was the first voice in mainstream media that didn't portray you as holding conservative values as a judgemental hatemonger...and actually embraced his beliefs
again, a lot of us in fly over country get that.

That's not what I meant. I meant this ENTIRE thread is the joke. It's a joke response to a thread created by Purple hawk. Therefore, everyone who is saying rush called obama the magic negro, is joking.

are you kidding? How can you feel that way about another human being?
I dunno. I think I learned it on TV.

No, it means Rushlimbo was poking fun at Purple. Some people missed the joke though.
I find it quite funny.
he said magic negro...huh, huh, huh. like, um, didnt he play for the Lakers, that Magic negro?
Artie for President.

Is this sarcasm?
