what pathetic excuses, er, claims are the republicans going to use if palin stumbles and bumbles like she did with gibson?

The CBS anchor will spend two days on the road with the Republican vice presidential candidate as well as presidential hopeful John McCain, the network said Tuesday.

Couric's interview material will be aired Sept. 29 and 30 on the "CBS Evening News" and "The Early Show."

It's timed for just before the Oct. 2 vice presidential debate between Palin and Democrat Joe Biden.

There's no word on whether Couric's interview material will appear on "60 Minutes," which competed hard to get the first Palin interview.

Didn't Hannity secure an interview with her ... I KNOW ... he'll be lobbing as many softballs to her like Olbermann handed Obama ... but, thats coming up this week, isn't it?

    :D LOL!!!

I guess I'd rather see her on "Hardball with Chris Matthews" but what can you do?

More importantly...do you think she'll ever have a press conference?

Man, I wish Tim Russert was still around. The Governor would've been taken to town.

She's going to get schooled by Biden in the V.P. debates. Of course, there probably won't be an incredible amount of people with votes watching those.

I agree with you.. he is greatly missed. But the truth is... Palin would never, ever agree to sit down at the Meet the Press table or would McCain's camp ever allow her to do so.

    It's ridiculous.

I don't know, Meet the Press with Russert was always kind of an institution; it may have been hard to say no to them. Russert had a great reputation for asking difficult, but completely fair questions. Rejecting an offer from him for Sarah Palin to be on the show would have been a pretty strong acknowledgement that they didn't want her to face any tough questions.
  • Which will be more excruciating to watch -- Katie Couric or Sarah Palin?

Yeah... that's not ever going to happen... You know, why should the voters get to see her answer tough questions when the McCain camp instead could tell her story their way with no regards to the facts.
