Veterans Day

I just wanted to say thank you to all of those people with great intentions who have served or are currently serving in our Armed Forces. Thank you for your sacrifice and dedication. I am greatly moved by your willingness to serve a greater cause. Thank you, and please be safe.

I would also like to say on this Veterans Day, that this current Commander-In-Chief and his administration have taken advantage of our brave soldiers dedication and good intentions, have taken advantage of our wounded countries state of shock, and have taken advantage of our peoples willingness to act in times of great tragedy. With sleight of hand, half truths, and flat out lies they have manipulated us and our soldiers into performing viscous acts of violence and destruction towards other nations and their innocent population. While at the same time writing into policy the use of torture and inhumane treatment of those detained. They have thrown Habeas Corpus to the side and continue to detain people without charge or reason. They have trampled the rights of American Citizens, again signing into law and policy the destruction of our rights to privacy and illegal search and seizure. They have illegally spied on American citizens using our own companies to track us and our lives, providing amnesty to these corporations for their illegal acts.

This President and this Administration have violated every principle and ideal that our brave soldiers have dedicated to protecting. They have commited the ultimate sin, by lying and duping our country and soldiers into war. Resulting in approximately 1,000,000 Iraqi deaths, hundreds of thousands of injuries, nealry 4,000 dead american soldiers and tens of thousands of severe injuries. They have betrayed our trust. They have betrayed our soldiers trust. They have committted war crimes in our name. They have broken international law. They have broken domestic law. They have commited these atrocities under the guise of fear, security, homeland defense, and patriotism. And they are still in power, pursuing their agenda of military intervention and dominance as they are drunk with power, fueled by a complacent Judicial and Legislative Branch.

I believe for these abuses of power and crimes against humanity that they should be held responsible for their actions. The higher levels of this administration should be impeached. I also feel that the Commander-in-Chief and key members of his administration should be tried for war crimes and held to highest punishment allowed by law.

Only we can do this. Only we can change the course of history. Only we can hold these criminals accountable. Only we can bring these criminals to justice. The world is depending on us, it has been waiting for us. It is time we stood up and did our job as American Citizens, it is time we uphold our greatest responsiblity and hold our democratically elected leaders responsible for their actions. We cannot wait until the next election, we do not have the luxury of time. We must act.

We must uphold the honor of the veterans that have sacrificed for our country. We must uphold the ideals that they sacrificed for. We must excerise our rights given to us as American citizens. We must remember what we are so proud of our veterans for. The ideal of sacrifice for the causes of freedom and democracy must be honored.

We must honor our Veterans and members of the Armed Forces by holding our leaders responsible for their heinous actions and crimes. We must not let this continue, and we must not let this happen again. We must hold our President responsible for each and every coffin that comes back to this country draped in the american flag. We must hold our president responsible for every civilian death and injury. We must hold our President, his administration, the judicial branch, and the legislative branch responsible for every lie told, every half truth spewed, and hold him responsible for every seight of hand used to manipulate the public into allowing our Armed Forces to be sent into harms way.

We must honor our Veterans by upholding the ideals they agree to serve and protect.

And no one sings me lullabyes
And no one makes me close my eyes
So I throw the windows wide
And call to you across the sky....

Everyone is always all, "Yeah... Troops... we Support You!!! Yay!!!" and we treat the those homeless dudes like fucking worthless pieces of shit.
Well, guess what? A lot of those worthless homeless pieces of shit that you think should quit looking for a free hand out and get a fucking job are Veterans.
    Fuck 'em... right?

    Ain't that the truth.
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Why can't they just get a job like everyone else?

Thank you to all the veterans, especially those who paid the ultimate price.

You know the next time you (I mean anyone) see a homeless veteran, drop a buck in his hand. Give him a sandwhich. Give him a smile. Let him know some of us care. When I was in college and broke as hell I delivered pizza. I would purposely screw up orders and to have an extra pizza to give the local homeless veteran. You'd think it was Christmas every time I gave him one.

That's showing gratitude... which is more than this ungrateful nation shows its former military people.

    Here's what I would do...
You know all of those bases that are closing around the country? They are converting them into commercial/housing developments. How about we set aside a corner of these sprawling lots for Veteran's housing? Make the developer factor in this as part of their development. Set up housing and on-site counselling... give them jobs as janitors or landscapers or whatever... give them responsibilities... give them respect.
And if I have to pay taxes for this... fine. I will gladly pay it. i think a Grateful Nation owes it to them.

and Tustin (where those giant Blimp Hangars are)... and George A.F.B. in San Bernardino... and Norton A.F.B. (I think that is closed).
    ...
Even if the housing is baracks... I'm sure they'd gladly swap a spot on the concrete for a cot bed in a barrack. Give them surplus uniforms... donated clothing... hot meals... hot showers. Give them a fucking break.
And stop with all of the bullshit empty lip service.

  • How our government treats it's veterans is criminal.

That said, I didn't even have veteran's day off because the NYSE was open. What the hell does that say about our priorities?

Always appreciate the veterans . I always thought the message from Rambo First Blood was so meaningful. You cant send them over and then treat them like pieces of shit when they come back. Take care of them and thank them.

No. You express your regrets for sending them somewhere to kill and be killed over lies and dark agendas , ask what can be done to make it right. Then wait for the answer. In addition to following through with the initial promises made for after to begin with.....
