So How About something different
'06 was a tour to re-establish. I understand that. PJ had a massive PR machine behind them...and reminding folks why they are in the elite pantheon was crucial at that point of their career. Think the Stones late 70s revival...it's the reason they are playing Stadiums instead of county fairs and suburban festivals in Ohio like the Dave clark five...
But the next tour should include some gigs ( preferably officially released-but keep up those bootleg DVDs gang) that are just totally off the map...
I'm tallking about shows where they play almost nothing at all from 'TEN'.
I'm talking about shows where they play Yield in it's entirety....'Binuaral' all the slow jams..
Come on... lets really break ground...lets do Benyorra Hall all over, upside down and sideways....Do it in L.A. where no one is listening anyway...Do it in Iowa...do it in Theatre's and let folks know upfront, that 'Jeremy' will not be played...
Make it a mini tour...
But come on...Do something different...You've played 'Alive' for the hillbillies a thousand damn times.,..break out some deep stuff...nothing but...why????
Because PJ is one of the few bands ever that has never really done a bad song, much less record...
Here...
I'll get the ball rolling...
I'd pay a thousand dollars to see this show
Everyone join inand put up what you'd live for,...die for...pay for....
I'd kill a neighbors dog for a setlist as follows...
Thumbing My Way
Breakerfall
Porch
No Way
Faithfull
In My Tree
Nothing Man
Brain Of J
Cant Keep
Cropduster
Life Wasted
Sad
Habit
Nothing As It Seems
Why Go
ENCORE
Man of the Hour
In Hiding
Satans Bed
Animal
ENCORE 2
Low Light
Gods Dice
Unemployable
Smile
All Night
All or None
I realize the importance of the masses...but how about we give it up for those of us who actually still go buy their new CDs???
Let's go...

I agree with you...completely. Im sure all of us do. BUT...the reason why they played alive 700 times is.....DING DING it is the best song to hear live! Ever hear a 7.5 minute version of it with mike soloing like crazy and hearing fans shout out "yeah!" while fist pumping? its holy, it gives you the chills, it makes u feel like PJ is a religion! those are just my thoughts..what do i know?
8/7/08, 6/9/09
while not EXACTLY this setlist...they have basically played this show a number of times (without all night and no way)...except it was longer (probably b/c of the alive's, eveflows, etc....just sayin')!!! and why only 25 songs in your fantasy setlist?? if its fantasy, you should really be full of total shit with song selections!!
Do a big-ass 90's theme show!!!
EV- 08/09,10/2008.06/08,09/2009
It should be a 40 song concert, and they should play every song thay recorded in the 90's
Wait. It's like 4 in the morning...why am I posting and not sleeping?
Well anyway,...I just think they should vary up the setlist the next big go around...and if it kills their career ...oh welll...they're rich beyond belief and traveling the world is not a bad way to spend the last 25 years of theirs lives...but lets get a dozen shows of them laying into some of the lesser known material (really, like Zeppelin...is there any lesser known stuff)...but I digress...just pull out a few stops for the Diehards,...because I don't think they do it til they drop like the Stones, and even the deepest cut deserves it's moment in the sun before it's all said and done...I shouldn't watch Concerts and then post.
Thanks. Now I don't have to type so much.
But to the OP... why are people that want to hear Alive hillbillies??
