Dormant....would be a better word to describe or ebbing...it's like Heavy Metal music, it many seem dead, but it always comes back.

Few things are more awesome than my Hillary Clinton nudes that I've been thinking about sharing with you gentlemen for your lonely Saturday nights. I have one of Hillary on all fours, looking back at ya winking, with a cigarette (with a one-inch cherry!) dangling from her mouth.

    Discuss.
Do you remember Rock & Roll Radio?

Hey if George W Bush can get elected because voters thought he would be cooler to have a beer with then why can't Hillary get elected because voters would rather jerk off to her?

    PM me the pictures. LOL.

Anyone who thinks the movement is dead is delusional. There have been periods of time where the movement hasn't been the promenent player in the party, but it never seems to go away. I'm glad it has been neutered, but I know it will emerge again at some point. The whole eisenhower/nixon/ford era of the party functioned without a major presense of conservative leadership, but that doesn't mean they weren't around and working hard. There was the Goldwater movement. William F. Buckley, Jr. hit the national stage, they did a lot of work behind the scenes without dominating party politics. Believing they're gone just opens you up for a sneak attack.

When the Republican candidate is a leftie/indie and the Democratic candidates are battling their last battle....

these are very interesting times indeed.

Conservatism atually has a lot to offer. In the extreme form, libertarianism, it is acually the way to go. Power con't corrupt if there is no power to take. Give the power to the people...and the same should hold true for the economic environment, pure socialism. Same idea, give the power to the people.

I think Barack Obama's campaign IS giving power to the people.

The US is about as far from democracy as it is from fascism...closer to fascism actually.

...why don't you work to CHANGE it?

    Run for President, or something.

that assumes the president has the power to change anything.

One of the only ways, maybe the only way- to progress society is through mass popular protest. Its about getting informed at this point.

actually, i think the last 7 years have shown us that the president has TOO MUCH power to change things...

exactly, and you are crazy if you think that the next president is going to relinquish the power that has been seized by bush...

you must have missed it, there's a democratic house now, and they have been working tirelesly to end the war and remove bush.

presidents have gained power and lost it many times throughout history. They always gain more power then congress knocks them back down eventually. Its happening now.
