Good evening. I want to say a few words on behalf of those that cannot speak. They number in the hundreds of thousands. You know them well, they are the faces you see in your dreams. They are the faces that awaken you out of your medicated sweat filled sleep. They are the faces of the children, the elderly, the mothers, the fathers, the sisters, the brothers, and the friends that have had their lives stolen from them violently. They are the faces that you eagerly traded, and continue to trade for global military and economic hegemony, control of natural resources, and the almighty profit that drives your puppet masters. These are the faces of the lives that you have taken, both foreign and American. These are the words for the young men and women you manipulated with fear, lies, and false patriotism that have both taken lives, and had theirs taken. These are the words for the hundreds of thousands of deaths on the horizon.

These are the words of those that will never again feel a warm breeze, will never smell a fresh rain again, will never feel the sun's ray's again, will never hug their father again, will never hold their daughter again, will never kiss their mother again, will never hear the whisper of their lover again, will never taste the freshest fruit again, will never love or be loved again, will never see a sunset again, will never celebrate a special occasion again, will never laugh again, will never cry again, and will never take a breath again.

  • Well said, hands. These things are easily forgotten by all of us not being directly subjected to the pain of this needless loss and suffering. It's time we realize just how good we've got it on top of working to bring this goodness and joy of life back into the lives of those who we've been affecting by this bullshit war.

and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions

With the approval poll numbers at an all time low of 29%, there's not too many Bush fans anywhere, anymore. And it's about time that people are seeing through him and/or finally thinking for themselves.

i have a real fucking problem with this.

when will people realize that there is a difference between our government and our country. and when will people realize the differnce between dissenting with the president and hating my country? just because i disagree with Bush does not mean i hate my country. i love the people of my country. i love the freedoms and luxuries of my country. i love the fact that i was born here. and i love the fact that i will die here. but in between i must stand up for what is right, and i cannot pardon the wrongful acts of my government.

your a smart guy jlew, i am sure you realize there is a big difference between my country and its government. and i am aslo sure you realize that disagreeing with a war, and this administration is not "hating america", it is actually quite the opposite, it is becuase i love my country and want to improve it, and protect it from immoral interests and leaders. and i am sure you also realize that acknowledging its faults and mistakes is not "hating america"

or, perhaps you do believe dissent is unamerican or "hating america"... or that realizing we have slaughtered thousands in the name of lies is "hating america"?

somehow the right wing has been able to turn dissent into being a traitor, or disliking this administrations policies is "hating america"... thats fucking bullshit

Q: hehee, what do you mean, exactly?
A: I mean, hehe, it's almost as if I can see jlew in front of his own mirror every night, naked.
Q: You've got to be kidding me!
A: Not really. He likes to ...explore, it seems.
Q: I'm still not following you.
A: It's like the world begins and ends with the will to be astonished. And that world is self-exploration.
Q: That makes some sort of sense.
    A: Damn straight.
