if you have seen a show from behind the stage (at MSG or elsewhere), is it still a good time? I am sitting in Loge 65 (side/behind the stage) for MSGI and wondering how it will be. Never have sat behind the stage for any show.
thanks

...got a mind full of questions and a teacher in my soul...
  • i bought tix way across the stage for msg 1 last time and once we got to the seats, we walked around behind stage since it looked pretty empty...and we had a blast...nothing wrong with them IMO

you are REALLY close to the stage
    and will enjoy the view

and those are good seats for the encore, might get a tambourine thrown in that direction

being that close to the stage is never bad

Recall the "Play Lease You Pussies" banner from MSG 03... Those guys were behind the stage (I was next to them) so you know Ed can see you... LOL

  • Depending on the venue, some of the "behind the stage" tickets are actually beside the stage. I had "behind the stage" tickets in Toronto 2000 and they were great! Mike's side looking straight at him and Jeff about 10 rows up!

You'll have a blast no matter what - you're in the building!!!

I once had a ticket to Grateful Dead show in Chicago and it was side view only. It said right on the ticket t.v. screen view only. It sucked at first but the music is all we needed to hear. :)

We did end up moving down and caught a view of the stage. Phil's side but with a awesome view of Jerry and Bobby and the rest of the boys. :D

Your in the building and you'll make the best of it. Have a great time. :D

I've been behind the stage for Bruuuuce and Pearl Jam and had an amazing time both times! A unique concert experience and vantage point. I'd much rather be close to the stage and behind it than far away and in front. You'll have a blast!

I figured being close and behind is better than across the arena. I guess for as much as I paid freaking Stub Hub and the fact that it is Pearl Jam, I will have a great time. It might actually be nice seeing the expression of the lucky fan club members who got good seats, a different angle then I am used to
  • I'm also in section 65 for MSG Night 1. Couldn't get 10c tix, had to stubhub. Counting the days.......

Behind the stage is known as the 'smoking section', so look on the bright side, you might get a contact buzz, a drum stick and if you're lucky a 'last kiss'.
