Ron Paul Backer Cries Foul In Brooklyn
Steve Miller, a 27-year-old Brooklynite for Ron Paul, just called in to report that poll workers at PS 180 (57th and 16th Avenue) wrongly informed a voter who wanted to cast a ballot for the Texas Congressman that there were only two Republicans on the ballot.

MIller, who is a volunteer poll-wacther for Paul, said the woman tried to vote on a machine, but was given an emergency ballot when the machine malfunctioned. She was then informed by "multiple" poll workers, who repeated their claims to Miller, ("right to my face," he said), that Paul wasn't on the ballot.

The woman did finally manage to vote for Paul, according to Miller, who said he has been spending the day traveling from one polling site to another to hand out Paul literature and talk to voters. He said he was asked to leave one site (PS 201) even though he was well behind the legal line that denotes the no-politicking zone.

God damnit! This just cost Ron Paul the election.

Sometimes there are malfunctions on a ballot. It isn't some grand conspiracy.

I am sure that a bunch of Ron Paul backers in Texas are feeling disenfranchised since they showed up to vote yesterday.

Now this shocks me. I'm sure he was following all the rules and not being pushy or picking arguments with anyone. That doesn't sound like a Ron Paul supporter at all.

Yeah. I wasn't backing and working with Senator Obama when he was in the ILLINOIS STATE SENATE . You're correct, I just jumped on board when Pearl Jam started backing him.

    Nitwit.

I bet you will be proud when we have hilary/Obama running our country.

I will be proud when Obama is running the country.

Forgive me for wanting to feel optomistic and have faith in our leader. Living in the "doom and gloom" world that you do must really suck.

No gloom here. I just know what Ive heard from Obama is bullshit and when we go to war with Pakistan maybe the rest of you will wake up.

Paul's backers seem to take pride in their reputation.

Even though most of them had never heard of him 12 months ago...

When on Earth did he say we would go to war w/ Pakistan? He mentioned going into Pakistan to go after Bin Laden. Will Pakistan be pleased? Probably not, but that doesn't equal a war. Pakistan isn't that dumb to pick a fight w/ the US for going after a guy who has killed over 3,000 US civilians.

The first time I heard Ron Paul talk was on an Alex Jones Documentary years ago. The war on terror's an illusion. Osama is the boogeyman the CIA created in the 80's to ofight the Soviets. Osama also died in December of 2001. Of course Pakistan wont pick a fight with us. Just like Iran hasnt and wont. But that shit wont matter.

    1) Fair enough. I wasn't speaking directly about you, but a lot of Paul supporters in general.

    2) "An illusionist, Michael. Tricks are something a whore does for money...or candy"-GOB

    3) At least you don't sound crazy...

I might be crazy. Not anymore crazy then your average human who has been thrown into the shit hole we call The United States. One can learn much about himself by turning of the t.v. and meditating.

So much for not being all doom and gloom, eh?

There is always Canada you know?

I believe humans will overcome like they have and we will evolve and better ourselves. Canada would be a great option if it wasnt for the NAU.

Well, you can believe in that and I'll believe in Senator Obama and we'll see which one happens first and has a greater impact on the nation that is wounded right now and doesn't have time to wait for us to "evolve".

There's always something for this type of person.

"This would be great if it weren't for that. That would be great if it weren't for this."

You don't repel the doom and gloom argument very well.

But who cares, right? It's all a conspiracy.

There is a problem with the people of the U.S. We have lost our ablility to communicate with each other. The only form of communication we usually get is through the T.V.

I don't think the machine malfunction was the point. I think it was the misinformation from the multiple poll-workers that was the point. It doesn't matter if it cost him the election or not, the point is, those poll-workers were in the wrong and it makes you wonder how much of this goes on unnoticed.

Maybe you just dont understand. By throwing ourselves into the shit we can better ourselves. Its like the cold, there are so many and once we get one and get over it that virus will no longer make us get sick.

I've had a lot of colds...so maybe that isn't the best method to prove your point.
  • Yeah, sure. THAT virus won't make me sick. But a different one will.

So who's to say that after we "throw ourselves into shit," that we will emerge better?

I've never thrown myself into shit, but I have a feeling that if I were to emerge from it...I would smell like shit.

he is not saying it is a grand conspiracy...also if you read this thread... how can you still not understand the concept...lol are you fucking kidding me...the problem was not the malfunction of the balloting you ignorant...the problem is people at the precinct telling them that ron paul isnt a choice.

    lol

ledvedderman... you never seem to amaze me!

very good post... i noticed everyone at my church precinct was over the age of 80...and everytime i have voted i watch the 104 year old guy look directly at my name and than look at my license...and than look at my name on the sheet...than look at my license...than turn the page.... than flip back....than point to my name...than look on my license than he looks up and asks me if i am my brother...who is right above my name... and than i go to point to the box where my name is and than he says.. OH! followed by a 104 year old laugh.

this story is not a fabrication...i feel dumb voting when i know people like this count as 1 vote just like i do.

I did read the original post. I can't speak for the polling workers. One thing people should know about poll workers is that they are political. Who knows? I don't think a Republican or Democrat would be very fond of someone voting for Ron Paul. The Republican because they don't approve of his policies, and the Democrats because a voter who votes for Paul would usually have leaned to the Dem side.

Excuse me for having a little fun with yet ANOTHER thread about voting problems ONLY when it happens to Ron Paul supporters.

What about when it happens over and over in every State, but in a different way??????

One State disenfranchises Voters, one State commits Vote Fraud, one State can't even Recount the Vote right........

It's only a Conspiracy when it's blatant and constant, and there is plenty of documentation of this fraud committed against the American Public

The Establishment is against Ron Paul, plain and simple........

Your attempt at having a little 'fun' is only going to rile them up more. If you don't like putting up with the Ron Paul supporters, why do you insist on provoking them?
