They were just trying to speed up the process.

And what a surprise, the little bastard is getting all huffed and puffed because they effectively saved his life.

Try not jumping off bridges and not remembering how you did it asshole. And then fighting the cops when they try and help yer sorry ass.

Hmmm, a state trooper in the making you could make a great candidate.

    Update-
Mace says he still can’t remember how he ended up at the bottom of the bridge. He says he knows he didn’t willingly jump.

“I know I’m lucky to survive that far of a fall.”

Police records say Hutchinson was aggressive with them, and tried to get up and get into traffic. Mace points out that he doesn’t weigh much and wonders why an officer didn’t just restrain him.

Police also say he yelled threatening remarks about harming officers. Those things combined were why they used the electric stun gun on him.

“He was saying things like, ‘Kill cops, shoot cops,’” Ozark Police Capt. Thomas Rousset said on July 23.

Mace says he doesn’t remember that and certainly doesn’t know how it would have been possible, with his injuries, for him to move toward the highway.

“There’s no way I could stand up. I had a broken back and a broken foot,” he said.

“I definitely want them to get punished, I don’t want them to get away with it.”

So he jumped off a bridge, was still able to move around even with a broken foot and was threatening the cops and doesn't remember a thing. Gee I wonder if that guy was hopped up on drugs?

No drugs or alcohol was found in his system.
  • here's a video of a nice NYC cop shoving a cyclist to the ground while he's riding...just for kicks apparently

"Prior to the surfacing of this video, the police officer filed an official report claiming that the biker had hit him, then resisted arrest. The officer is (or should be) facing not only assault charges but perjury as well for the lies in his sworn statement."

I cannot think of a good reason to tase anyone who is already on the ground, out of commission, no matter what the person says ... I suppose if said person is pointing a gun at you? Beyond that, I cannot think of a good reason, even if we are dealing with a drug addict, mentally ill person, or whatever.

I have to assume that part of the problem is the fact that tasers have been marketed as much safer than they actually are ...

we need to take their little toys away from them

Maybe, although taking away tasers completely might actually lead to more shootings ...

  • Oh yea, they use Tasers instead of guns. They seem to only use them on disabled, unarmed, or the people they just don't like. It is no substitute for their guns. They love their guns more than sex and still use them in the same way they always have. Try listening to W.M.A. again

Cops love their tasers. They are better than guns because you can use them anywhere (whereas guns can only be played with on firing ranges).
I bet there are a lot of cats and dogs that get tasered across this country... along with a lot of homeless and hookers, too.

What part of this is totally wrong? Are we not paying the police enough? maybe if they got as much as the basket ball players or the football players then they would be happy to protect regular people instead they hurt our children. What part of stupid ignorance? If a person falls 30 feet? DUH?
Maladroit.. cuss word that carries a lot of Thor's HAMMER weight.. Justice for your children? There isn't any.. Unless you make lots of bucks as a sports shoe sales man or a used car sales man? I hope the parents call a good lawyer and sue the hell out of these idiots.
better yet call the United nations maybe they will back the American citizens it seem the police have forgotten whom they work for?
Oh heck just play Jimmy Hendricks and Issac Hayes and forget it ever happened right? We all have our heads in the sand and haven't come up for air in a long time.. So rock on the moving train.. when the fat lady sings?
we will have our independence from this dictatorship.. Bush go back to washing dishes please? or maybe sweeping out his footlocker when he heads to the boot camp of the Crimes against humanity trials?? Do we have a tribunal yet for his trial of Impeachment? Please someone help us in America??? Our children are getting hurt by the very people paid to protect us? Hopefully someone has a video.. lets call Rodney KING... Or KING SOLOMON oh right he is dead? so who is on first base my friends? Lets rock the wall down.. hangman is coming down from the mountain....

The UN’s Committee Against Torture issued a [8] statement on the TaserX26, in November of last year which read: “The use of TaserX26 weapons, provoking extreme pain, constituted a form of torture, and that in certain cases it could also cause death, as shown by several reliable studies and by certain cases that had happened after practical use.”

Where was it said that he was on the ground. The article posted at the beginning of the thread says that he fell (jumped?) off the bridge and then was tazed, it never mentioned if he was on the ground of if he was still trying to walk. Now if someone was still walking after doing that and threatening me I would be pretty scared of them.
