There are people protesting peacefully outside of our office building (a protest vs. the building owners). Everyone is staying on the sidewalk, obeying the police, etc.

One of our "less progressive" employees uttered out "What right do they have to do that?".

I had to remind her of the constitution, etc.

No wonder I am so cynical!

  • DON'T TAZE ME BRO!
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

Oddly enough, I work 5 minutes from UCLA, the site of the "bro" comment.

(I can't believe I am replying to one of your posts, but since it doesn't contain a conspiracy theory, it's ok!)

    Hilarious... yet sad.
Everything not forbidden is compulsory and eveything not compulsory is forbidden. You are free... free to do what the government says you can do.

You'd be surprised what you don't hear about in the media when you dig for information. Maybe 1-2% of the population actually questions and researches what they are told on the tube. ;)
