To which Alex Jones called Kucinich a pinko-commie, big government loving hippie. :D

    ;)

Alex actually called Kucinich, "the leader", regarding the truth movement and standing up to tyranical government.

    NEVERMIND:
Chantilly was fucking AWESOME. Protesting Bilderberg was one of the most fun things i've ever done, PJ included. Unfortunately (like i told several people there) it will spoil the fun of any other protest i ever go to. NOTHING could be as fun as Bilderberg ... yelling through bullhorns at fuckheads, screaming "You're SCUM! TRAITOR! Rot in hell!" over and over ... holding up signs saying "Traitors Hang" and such ...

    what could compare to that?

    Well.
there is a certain visceral satisfaction in reproaching self-delusional psychopaths.

Seriously. Add to that an undecipherable mix (how do you discriminate when they won't show you a badge?) of authority figures to get the adrenaline going and you can't not have an incredible buzz going.

    oh.
    check this out.
CNN Europe talking about Bilderberg '06.
The guest even says he believes many of the attendants DO think of themselves in "much the same way as the conspiracy theorists" do.

He also mentions world government, or "new world order".

Am i still crazy if they talk about it on the news now?

Because I know I'm not crazy, well just a little bit but that's only where it's needed. Crazy enough to be who we are no matter what anyone else thinks.

No one can scream the word "Scum" like Alex Jones. I've seen him scream it many times on stage at his movie premieres here in Austin but never with a bullhorn -- must have been awesome !!

    You have no idea!

That was just a small small snipet from the 3rd night when he showed up late (because he busted his knee on a column in DC while arguing with a cop) ... he showed up just in time (by 25 minutes or so) to bullhorn before the alleged 10pm curfew (which actualy, now that i understand the law i was reading, does not exist).

We were so fucking amped up from an entire day of protesting by "ourselves" ... then Alex showed up and we got nuts!
[Seriously. I think we chanted "Freedom" in all its glory for about seven minutes straight. It went on forEVER]

Do you believe the official story that said that Barak & Hillary went to Pelosi's place to talk, or do you believe the Alex Jones story that they snuck away to attend the Bildeberg conference? I believe the official story.

Do you believe the official story that we landed on the moon? Or do you believe conspiracy theories that it was staged in a studio? I believe the official story.

I also believe I know who the idiots are.

Damnit! I tried so hard to stay out of this thread. :) Now I'm going to get a lecture from Abook. ;)

Official rhetoric is pure propaganda, especially in the US. Since they can't control us with force they control our opinions. Sure, occaisionally they are correct, most of the time they are correct, but its what they don't report on in the news and what they don't release as official statements that we should worry about. Anything important-gulf of Tonkin, Iraq war, corporate handouts-things that matter they rarely report on or release as statements, and when they do they are full of shit, imo.

4 of the most popular news personas in the US opposed the Iraq war pre-invasion. Over 400 were for it. That's a sample of how deep the indoctrination is.

"Consipiracy theory" is a term used to discredit institutional analysis, according to Chomsky, and I agree.

I absolutely agree with a lot of what you say. It is always wise to consider your sources, and to look for corroborating information.

I also have a problem with someone who only believes the official story. But by the same token, I don't think it makes sense to always disbelieve the official story and try to find something, anything to hold onto as long as it doesn't go along with the official story. I think that is the trap many fall into.

There's a big, bright ball in the sky we call the Sun. If Bush said that the big bright ball in the sky is the Sun, I get the feeling that some here would post a video from Alex Jones claiming it is actually a top secret energy source created by the Illuminati-CFR-Bildeberg-Zionist-Big-Oil-Executives, and everyone who thinks it is the Sun has been fooled.

Ah that's just your cynism. I haven't seen too many posts here that are simply ridiculous. Sure some theories are less supported than others but numbers don't equal truth. I say we should objectively discuss each theory on it's on merit. The out there ones will be quickly disproven and drop like a stone. Something shouldn't be automatically written off just because it's a conspiracy either...and PLENTY of people do just that. Like there are no real conspiracies...that's bullshit, history says otherwise.

I actually think all the people on here do agree on most stuff and to much time is spent argueing on the small bits that are disagreed on.

Abook is right, the out there stuff is quickly dropped, but i don't think those are ever posted by people with a firm belief in the idea, more just to put it out there and see what others think, usually little discusion is had and lots of conspircy name calling posts ensue.
