    i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with

    How come that double decker is still standing STRAIGHT UP?

    When ever double deckers are involved in tradgedy they always fall ON THIER SIDES!!! They never FALL STRAIGHT DOWN!!!

    This meek attempt at humor is all you've got on the subject? It's almost as cute as a puppy dog watching you get so excited when you think you've really done something.....but I would suggest you calm down just a tad, it's a little over played.

    I disagree with 69charger on a lot of stuff, but I laughed at his posts here. And the reason no one wants to "respond substantively" to an article like the one posted is that we have learned, over the years, to stop trying to use reason on people who will then refuse to listen to or process it.

    One thing that pisses me off about that article is how they make out that Jean Charles De Menezes did nothing suspicious, they make it sound as if the police just picked him out of random passers by and shot him.

    I know it turned out he was innocent, and they shot the wrong man, but I remember watching the news the day it happened, and if I had been a police officer on duty that day, in that same situation, I would have probably shot too. Remember, Jean was killed 15 days after 7/7, and 1 day after more suspected terrorist attacks. He fitted the description of a terrorist suspect, and when approached by police officers, instead of doing the rational thing, he ran away from them, straight for a station, and ran the whole way through it, leaping barriers, and bolted for a train. The officers repeatedly asked him to stop running, and shot out at the last minute when he was about to board the train. That to me is not how an innocent person would act, and although he was innocent, can you imagine what would have happened if he had been carrying a bomb, and they had let him get on the train? They are damned if they do, and damned if they don't, and that whole article is a farce!

    That is all bollocks. He didn't run away from the police. He didn't leap any barrier, and he wasn't approached by Police officers. Get your facts right!
