i don't think we'll ever have a just and fair world. If you mandate fairness for one person you indirectly can negatively affect someone else (which is unfair). I think this ruling is a good one, esp since the opinion was tempered some by Kennedy. We have to take the chips off of our collective shoulders and learn to work together...and that's not just about race...everyone has prejudices about something.

    Chop it down.

Racism may always exist. But there's absolutely no reason for legislated racism to exist.

I thought this was a good move on a lot of levels. Primarily, that we'll never end racism as long as race is being used as a determining factor.

I think that they made the right ruling on this case.... I do have to disagree with them on the minimum price ruling.

being ordered to give someone an advantage is a big cause of racism. my grandchildren now have an equal chance to get into college. their scholarships will be decided by their work and not their race.
i'm sure this ruling will also do away with quotas and employers can hire based on experience instead of race.
