2 million shares of haliburton stock?

I find that funny on many levels.

  • Well if Iran is a go, (probably matter of time) then that's actually a smart investment.

    .
Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

We don't live in a black and white world.

    Label products, not people.

As Daniel Quinn's book "Ishmael" talks about - man under a civilizational system that forces him to exploit and destroy the world in order to live.
    CONservative governMENt

Our government is the potent, the omnipresent teacher. For good or for ill, it teaches the whole people by its example. Crime is contagious. If the government becomes a law-breaker, it breeds contempt for law; it invites every man to become a law unto himself; it invites anarchy. - Louis Brandeis

i swallowed his facade cos i'm so
    eager to identify with
    someone above the crowd
someone who seemed to feel the same
someone prepared to lead the way

Soros? Not that he needs the money or anything. I guess since Air America went under he's got to make up for the money he lost on that joke of an investment.

oh please no one or nothing(except perhaps his own greed) is forcing Man to exploit the world in order to live. he's doing it by his own volition. and quite possibly destroying himself in the process.

Isn't the belief that even if you step on a few feet (so to speak) to create a better overall good, pretty much an underlying theme in politics and the world? Isn't that the fundamental justification for things like the Iraq invasion and similar? Things like collateral damage and similar are the realistic price we pay for making a peace or even trying in some minute way to create some resemble to "balance" or "order" in the world? Not saying I agree or believe that myself, but I'd venture to say that most "realists" are very devout to that battle cry. But my overall point is, what if Soros uses that money for great things - to help people and the world? Does it still make him a bad person in your opinion? Isn't it more like Robinhood than simply greed? I don't think you can simply judge someone by a simple act when you're trying to paint a situation black and white. It's not a logical way to view the world nor does it match reality.
