Is the best candidate for president that I've seen from either side so far. She is well spoken, intellegent, articulate, and has the best, common sense approach to the war that I've seen.

But, do you think she could really get elected? With all the redneck NASCAR and WWF loving fans in the South, I just don't know.

I wish she would be elected though, she would make a damn good president.

She would make a good president, and a better one than her husband. But there are too many women haters, and just too many Hillary Haters for her to win. It's just the way it is, sadly.

I live in the state where Hillary is Senator. She's done a kick-ass job and won her re-election by a landslide. But you get anyone in any other state than NY to tell you what they think of her and most likely they'll say that she's terrible, even when they have no clue as to what she really does and pulls off. Most people don't pay attention. They just either like, or dislike.

Thanks Nick, for at least paying attention! :)

So far, my personal major party "list" has her tied with Edwards for third place. And, because I know everyone here is on pins and needles waiting to hear RainDog's list, so as to improve their own personal political outlooks of course, it goes:
    1) Obama
    2) Kucinich
    3) Clinton/Edwards

You are right...she has done amazing things. I am from Arkansas, so she has connections here, but being Arkansas, there are too many back woods people that would not vote for her because she is a woman. It is sad, but true.

I'm not sure where I stand on Hilary... Like Jeanwah, I live in New York and I think that she has done a good job as a Senator. But, I don't feel so great about her being president. She is too much of a "professional" politician for me, and that makes me uneasy coming from the Bush administration. Her comments and positions seem to be motivated by politics and not by what is necessarily in the best interest of the country. I had a poster when I was a kid that said "What is popular isn't always right, and what is right isn't always popular". I just don't see her able to make the "right" choice if it politically unpopular.

I still think that Gov. Bill Richardson is the most qualified candidate that I've seen from the Dems. He has the executive experience, foreign policy experience, and seems to speak his mind and be realistic about issues and problems.

I don't think she could get elected. There are also many non redneck-NASCAR loving-WWF watching fans who wouldn't vote for her. Sure some won't vote for her b/c she's a woman, but maybe some people just don't like her opinions and views. I can't see her picking up too many (if any) moderate republican votes...unless the repubs run someone like Hannity.

If I was going to make a 159th tier ranking of candidates it would look somewhat similar to that except I would switch up Edwards and Kucinich would drop to 17th.

I was talking major party, but if we want to bring tiers into it (and all politics leads to tiers, right - durr pun!@#!@!) the list would begin....

I have thought this for a while, but I think that if there is one demographic that she will have problems getting votes from, it will be women. Just from my experiences women hate other women, especially those in power. I have worked in enough offices where women had more problems with female bosses then men. I could be wrong, but I would love to see actually data on how women have voted for her in the past (not who they say they vote for, but who they actually pull the lever for).

that's an interesting view. My guess is there's an even split amongst women who will vote for her strictly b/c she's a woman (poor reason to choose someone) and those women who won't vote for her stricly b/c she's a woman (another poor reason). I think a woman could be a good president, I just don't think that Hilary is that woman. It would be interesting to see if there are discrepancies b/t who woman actually vote for and who they say they vote for. That would be a pretty interesting social experiment.

I agree with the articulate and well spoken portion of your assesment but that's it. I think Hillary would be a horrible president and I hate NASCAR and WWF and I'm not from the South. It's my opinion that a president should not solely be judged on their articulation and intelligence. Also while the war in Iraq is a huge issue it is not the only one that we should be basing our decision on. To this day Hillary has yet to admit that she was wrong for initially supporting the war. She continues to use the cop-out of I was misled. To my knowledge Edwards has been the only Democrat, who supported the war, to come out and say he was wrong. I find very little redeeming qualities about Hillary.

I like individuality a little too much to elect Hillary, not really a fan of Nascar or WWF though sorry to disapoint.

She does speak very well, it's the content I generally have issues with, that and the unbridled ambition and lust for power and control. She's been political a little too long to be trustworthy, all of these people have, I was a bit fan of McCain 7 years ago, not anymore.

I don't think I've found a person worthy of my vote for president yet.

then you don't know her very well.

no; she hasn't a snowballs chance in hell. she messed things up too much last time she was president.

Personally, i have no problem with the fact that she is a woman. As a matter of, fact, i think everyone should realize that for every Ameirican citizen who refuses to vote for her because she is a woman, there are probably 1.5 more who WILL vote vor her because she's a woman. Personally i don't like her because i think she is sickeningly fake and totally panders to the various demographics.

i don't think she will win. If she does however, i think she should be entitled to one free, under the oval ovice desk, cunt munching by an intern of her choice. No querstions asked. (She could probably use it!)

Would Rosie O'Donnell really intern at her age and success?

rosie o'fatass has insulted and alienated so many americans; putting her support behind anyone is the kiss of death.

what the hell she's done for me lately. Okay, I'll try to be nice.

I think she's too far into the machine, she's too reliant on the polls and PAC's and she tends to point her finger too much at Republicans versus trying to work with them to get things done.

She seems cold and calculating, far too ambitious, and phony.

    Just my two cents.

How can she be seen as anyone other than a person who is motivated solely by power?

I honestly don't believe she or her husband have any real personal principles.
