    thoughts are with the family.

    RIP.

I'm glad Obama had his priorities straight and was able to visit her before she passed.

  • How heartbreaking that she couldn't hold out for just another couple of days...
  • Sincere condolences to Barack Obama & his family.
Wish she could have made it a few more days. Yes, it was good he had his priorities in line and took time to spend with her during this wild election. Something he will always remember and cherish. This man makes wise decisions.

    RIP

Very sad that she could not hang on for a couple more days. At peace now.

To the people who post here that insinuated she was not sick and that Obama was wrong to visit her in her last days because he had a campaign to run..

    you make me sick.

That's so sad, I bet she was so excited and proud of her grandson.

She's been really sick for a while now and it wouldn't surprise me if she was trying to hold out until the election. I guess there isn't much you can do when it's your time. :(

It doesn't surprise me, but some of those comments are truly sickening. WTF?!?!
  • if you believe the good compassionate conservatives over at hannity.com, Obama killed his grandmother, in an effort to drum up sympathy and votes

  • These people are just messed up. I mean, come on, they act like this is some sort of science fiction movie or something, and not real people. Jeeze.

How sad for him and the family. :(
Some of those comments are truly disgusting! People never cease to amaze and sicken me. :(
"I'd rather be with an animal." "Those that can be trusted can change their mind." "The in between is mine." "If I don't lose control, explore and not explode, a preternatural other plane with the power to maintain." "Yeh this is living." "Life is what you make it."

That's messed up. As much as we all bicker and so forth, ripping and creating conspiracy theories on the passing of a loved one is beyond reprehensible.
It would be best for FOX/Hannity to close off comments on those threads to show respect.

Sick folks, that is for sure.

  • Most of these posters on that Fox site are the worst kind of sick, racist, ignorant bastards that deserve the worlds plagues unleashed upon them. This is like the voice of Joe the Plumber on most of these. These are ardent McCain Palin supporters, they think that is funny.

Did anyone see his speech in North Carolina? Very touching and he had tears coming down as he described the impact she had on him.

Win or lose tomorrow, I know he wanted his g-ma to be watching. Can you imagine that? The woman that practically raised him passing just before the day he could become the leader of the free world?!?!

    So sad.
  • recent thread over at hannity.com

Could Obama crying pic be staged for camera??

It has been a while since I had physiology, but as I remember, the tearing system is set up with the primary tear gland (lacrimal gland) being positioned in the outer aspect of the upper eyelid. Tears are secreted along ducts in the lids, are spread by blinking, and then gather for drainage at a place called the lacrimal lake. The lacrimal lake favors the nasal side of the eye because the main drainage of tears is into a small cistern known as the nasolacrimal duct which carries tears away... That is why the nose runs when we cry large amounts of tears

    I love these kooks.

She might not really be dead though. They didn't see an "official" death certificate. Yea, Peter Berg is filing a lawsuit and everything. It could be true you can't deny it's possible. Who wants to bet she isn't dead? Come on somebody bet me. (Ok, I'm done with my impression.)

I agree with you Urs. My heart goes out to him and his family too.

For people here that believe that she isn't dead and this is a ploy...to you I say FUCK YOU you make me sick! There is no way this is made up and there is no reason to think anyone would have much to gain by fabricating such a thing.

I just pray that Senator Obama prevails tomorrow and not ignorance and prejudice!

you know, i was talking to a guy who is running the local democratic campaign headquarters- young guy, probably in his late 20's- and i commented that these people just don't seem to get it, that's it's so frustrating trying to reason with them. he said something that surprised me for its thoughtful wisdom, considering his age, he said, "you know, i used to think that reason and a good argument could convince people on the far right that they are wrong, wrong about obama, wrong about abortion rights, etc.- but now i'm just convinced that there is a segment of that population who are beyond reason, they block out any good argument you can make, and they're just mean-spirited. they don't WANT to understand, so they never, ever will. i've basically given up on that portion of them. and i sleep better at night."

That sucks. Your grandson is running for president, might be the first African-American to become president, and you don't even get to see the election. :(
