Do lefties on this board sympathize with rosie and look up to her in any type of way?

He symbolizes everything the american conservative stands for; No gays, fierce nationalism, hegemony as national policy, and a hate for anything to the left of James Dobson.

What, you mean there's more to it than that? Ideology can't be syphoned down into one lone figure that offers total congruence? That their are actually a multitude of minute details that most intelligent people consider before forming - sometime unconsciously - an outlook from which they approach the world?

    Who'da thunk it?

    Wow......

anti-american foreign policy? hate for anything corporate america?

    HUGE generalizations.

I respect her opinions, but to me, a guy like George Clooney symbolizes the left for me. better yet, the left doesn't really need anyone to symbolize them. being a liberal means you are open to new ideas and not bound by what fox news or ann coulter tell you to believe.
those undecided, needn't have faith to be free
  • I couldn't care less about rosie, but that term "anti-american foreign policy" is conservative bullshit.

  • What the hell is wrong with Rosie O'Donell?!!!????!!! And for that matter, what the hell is wrong with The View? I tivo it daily and quite enjoy their "hot topic" segments.

Rosie is a decent person who does alot for kids and charities.. she speaks her mind on issues, and does so very well I might add.

I personally think she is an outstanding human being.

No...you're just bound by what Keith Olbermann or...umm...George Clooney tell you to believe.

Well, I guess that is why they call it The VIEW, now isn't it?

I stand loud and proud as being a watcher of The View.. there is nothing wrong with the show whatsoever.. have you ever taken the time to actually see what the show has to offer or are you just talking out your ass?

    I am guessing the later..

We're men, I think it's different for them. :p

Personnally I think Oprah will violently gain power with her own militia in the next 20 years but every girl I know of praises her.... which I believe gives more credit to my theory.

What exactly is different about women from different age groups discussing their VIEWpoint on current topics and events?

What's the difference between men and women you ask?

Anything more than physical difference would take far too long to explain..

I think it's a fact that men pretty universally despise the View though.

Why should anyone care what Elizabeth Hasselback, Rosie O'Donell, Baba Wawa, or Star Jones (I know she isn't there anymore, but the point remains) think about anything? I haven't watched, and won't. Good lord. I'd rather watch paint dry.
