I'm not a religious conservative. I don't believe in religion. I will not allow anyone else to dictate the way I live my live through any moral standard or set of rules.

But... this is where it gets interesting, and probably very confusing for liberals... I will never make fun or spew hatred toward religious people. I can honestly say that the rules that Christians choose to live their lives by aren't exactly wrong and evil. I can think of a lot worse ways... I am also able to distiguish the belief systems that Christians and Muslims have from one another. I also know that Muslim extremist are bad. Bad is a word. Bad is real. This country has every right to defend itself from these fanatical people. I support that defense.

As for religion in general. I believe there is a higher being... somewhere. There could only be something so clever as to create liberals. But as for following any particular religion there are simply too many factual inaccuracies for me to believe.

I dont know why this cant be taken as a positive for some. I dont trust kim jong il at all but, he said what he said, so lets take it for whats its worth and see what happens.

this is much better then him continuing to say this is "an act of war" or say they will continue with more nuke tests.

due to my address, i think i might have a better clue as to whatever's been said here. (not trying to say people here don't know shit. there's a good chance someone here knows better...)
just to make it clear - i'm on the jewish+israeli "side"...
lets get a few things staight:
1. according to christianity (as far as i know), jesus will arise (again) after the war that ends all wars will take place in "har-megido" (har = mountain. megido = a name of a place. in time that expression evolved into armagedon). therefor, jesus will arise only after israel is abolished (and the rest of the world... or at least the sinners)
2. some of islam's prophets (besides the main one - muhamad): Joseph son of jacob, moses (the dude with the 10 commandments), the hebrew prophet Samuel, and yes - jesus.
regarding those last 2 statements: anyone with a more profound knowledge ofthose religions - please correct me!
3. regarding the links "proving" israel is a terrorist country:
first off, this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Zealot talks about a small group of jews in the 1st century!!! that's so long ago. (not to mention judaism has changed beyond recognition since)
and second, this one: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Irgun refers to the "etzel" organization, a guerilla organization that was active until the establishment of the state of israel. the "etzel's" ways were definately exagurately aggressive and militant. (i won't go into the whole military history of israel, and especially not that of the period in the 10 years before the decleration of independance... if you want, pm me and we'll talk about it. not here). the etzel was very violent and very extreme. definately not trying to justify blowing up a hotel - but it was a time of do or die (again - pm me and we'll discuss in grave detail), but it very similar to the current palestinian struggle for an independant state. however, the etzel was not the main militant force (they were rather small, really. the smallest. and out of a total population of 600,000 at that time, well, they didn't even reach tripple digits ok?), and terror wasn't the means to achieve the end.
everyone love wiki, but everyone must check their sources of information they choose to enrich themselves and their knowledge of the world.

in any case, anyone at a position of power, anywhere in the world, who calls upon the distruction of something, should have a gazillion eyes keeping close watch on them. yes - even israeli leaders, and yes - american leaders as well.
i'm not sayin israel is all good. i know fo a fact that it isn't. but it's a very complex reality to deal with, and we're doing our best to improve every minute.
i'm a total etheist. i don't care about your religion.
i'm an israeli, and damn proud of it.
