Oh no! Not mental fatigue? We've had a big discussion about that around here today, and it doesn't sound like it's a very good thing to have!
So I'm glad you've been proved wrong and therefore avoided the headache! And all the other criticism that would have been levelled at you!
Serious though ra-ra, I've got an aspirin if you need it! I think we need to resurrect that gopher/woodchuck thingy!Let me go see if I can find the link!
NOPE!!!
*~You're IT Bert!~*
Hold on to the thread

I would love to be proven wrong on two things; Free-Will and God.
But, that may be too much to ask.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. Your nature is to do harm, mine is to love truth, and to make it public in spite of you. - Voltaire0 -
Jeanie wrote:How so Ryan? You'd like God to be proven? Or am I misunderstanding that?
Yes I would.
My views are the least gratifying views imaginable.
But, on the scales of proof, there is virtually nothing on the opposition.
I'd also find it infinitely more interesting if there was actually something to debate.I necessarily have the passion for writing this, and you have the passion for condemning me; both of us are equally fools, equally the toys of destiny. I don't think you're fighting the wrong enemy.
Since with our actual scientifc knowledge free-will/complete determinism is a philosophical debate which is as productive as the god/no god debate you should forget about trying to prove it wrong/have it proven right.
Debatting how it would be possible to prove it (free-will) right/wrong in the future with whatever discovery, and what changes our societies would have to undergo could be "infinitely more interesting" than a fruitless debate.0 -

ha ha it just seems that being "right" all the time is some folks only identity or mission in life. or perhaps a "group" of people. it just sounds exhausting to always live up to that. not mentally exhausting but physically and "spirituality" (for myself). its not just about being "definite" either. I LOVE being challenged!!! it helps you to grow. that is all......I mean i can still be pretty stubborn- dont get me wrong....but being right for the sake of it is just odd. I mean beyond feeling control over things....
I have gotten so use to bad headaches.....that i dont take anything for it anymore and ever since i stopped I have been pigging out and losing weight- this makes me sad. when i was on some stuff, i ate like a bird and just maintained...but i dont like people to worry....
I would kill for mental fatigue- b/c An active brain is a meteor shower? my h said that this morning. :S :S :S People with mf are probably blessed with unscatteredness. or is it the other way around?.....
anyways......i love that lil guy. he should be our God.Rarghstarfarian.0 -

So what happens when you aren't right?Progress is not made by everyone joining some new fad,
and reveling in it's loyalty. It's made by forming coalitions
over specific principles, goals, and policies.

some people believe in God for the very sake he/she cant be proven. its something more personal.Rarghstarfarian.0 -

views or attitude??
and yes i know, there might be a " connection" between the two.
there are tonnes of agnostics + atheists with class and intelligence. the least gratifying might not be someone's views per se, but how they present them. and overall thier attitude, character, and unwillingness to understand the other side. arrogance might defeat credibility on stances as well.
i hope that doesnt become a "crutch" for not being "accepted" or whatever. thier so -called "views" alone.
edit: i am not trying to make any personal attacks either. i know thats really popular here sometimes.Rarghstarfarian.0 -
