False flag operation by the British spooks. Dont they have like 2 million cameras in London now? Where are the photos of the "terrorists" parking the vehicles?War is Peace

I hope you meant the midlands AND burnley otherwise the midlands just got a whole lot bigger.
I think the whole press and police have exaggerted the whole British muslim affair. In Birmingham we regularly have raids and arrests made due to "terrorism". Unfortunately it no longer becomes news worthy when those people are released without charge or charged with some lesser offence such as possession of drugs.0 -
This is really scary - my sister works around haymarket and just by luck someone at her workplace called her yesterday and told her not to go in due to the place being cordoned off. They think the bomb could have been timed to go off in the morning which would hit workers (including my sister), commuters, tourists, buses, buildings everything.
You have to be grateful that someone took ill at the nightclub which brought the ambulancemen out who spotted the smoking car...
The thing that also worries me is that on the 7/7 london bombing aniversary (next week in fact) there is this giant Live earth concert (I wasn't lucky enough to get a ticket but some friends are going) - wouldn't that become a major target for London, considering the date and the mass of people that would be there in one place?"We have to change the concept of patriotism to one of “matriotism” — love of humanity that transcends war. A matriarch would never send her own children off to wars that kill other people’s children." Cindy Sheehan

not sure where you heard that... everything i ahve read, listened to, seen has said the bombs were thought to have gone off around the time the first car was discovered. in fact i am watching bbc news 24 now and they have a terrorism expert on saying the second car bomb was positioned so that it would blow up as survivours of the first bomb ran down the street.Restless Soul wrote:They think the bomb could have been timed to go off in the morning which would hit workers (including my sister), commuters, tourists, buses, buildings everything.

We just assumed that maybe the bomb was being driven to its location (before the driver ran away), so that it would be set on a timer - just an assumption on our part I guess.
You know what, I didn't even know there was a second bomb until I read this thread!"We have to change the concept of patriotism to one of “matriotism” — love of humanity that transcends war. A matriarch would never send her own children off to wars that kill other people’s children." Cindy Sheehan

icarus wrote:wasn't there a thwarted attack in sydney not too long ago? from what we always hear, italy, france and australia were always 'supposed' to be the next places that would be attacked by terrorists.
quite honestly i can't remember. and what exactly is the definition of 'thwarted attack'? is it when the authorities come in all guns blazing a la jack bauer style catching the bombmakers in the throes of setting the detonation sequencing code(irreversible of course)? or is it more the authorities heard a rumour, do some follow up, find something suspicious that is potentially dangerous but in no way imminently so and deal with it as they would any other threat or crime?
besides, do you know how far australia is away from everything? who's gonna be bothered sitting through a 22 hour flight in order to blow something up here.
you know sometimes i feel like im being a tad blase, but for the most part i really have no cause to be alarmed at this point. im not ignorant and im not easily freaked out when it comes to the 'unknown enemy'. if a terrorist attack happens in australia i'll be suitably pissed off, but i wont be surprised nor indignant. fortunately it's not something i spend a great deal of time thinking about, nor have i had to. plus, it's out of my hands.hear my name

The cameras never actually pick up any crime so no chance of any footage being caught.Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!

interesting timing here. the new PM has an opportunity to go on TV and reach out to scared citizens. some might say...convenient?0

Very convenient, those pesky terrorists love doing PR work for the goverment, always just at the right time when the goverment need's a boost.
I wonder if the terroists think about that when they plan there attacks.Keep on rockin in the free world!!!!
