Guess I would be lying if I said I wasnt' inspired by into the wild, but this summer I am gonna live literally in the wild.

A good friend of mine has been trying to get me to do this for a few years...He's been reading about a guy named Tom Brown Jr, who can literally be dropped off anywhere on the planet with just his clothes and survive, doesn't even need a knife/lighter/food/water.

I used to get so pissed off at the establishment, used to be so angry at everything. Now I just feel helpless.

So we're leaving. If all goes well we won't be coming back.

Even Tom Browne came back. I read a couple of his books many, many moons ago. His winter alone in Rocky Mountain National Park* is quite a story. Killed a deer with his bare hands (and a knife, if i remember right).
Now, he's America's top tracker. The FBI will call on him for abduction/kidnapping/missing persons type cases.

Yea Tom Brown is the man. I've read a few of his books-apparently he tracked an armed Navy Seal that went psychotic and brought him back naked. Good stories..but he also has a few books that read like textbooks..on how to survive in the wild, which I have. Gonna take his survival course in the spring.
