Ok, simple solution, and really, I se your point, so just back it up with some facts. Start some threads about the good America does or has done for the world.

There is a reason why we never see threads headed,

"Look how Great Capitalism is."
"War is GOOD!", "
George Bush is the best President."
"America is loved all over the world."
"America stands against exploitation."
"America saves oppressed people from abuse and torture."
"America stands up to tyrant that threatens the world."
"America puts people before profit!"
"America deals with ALL evil tyrannies, regardless of Oil localities!"
"America refuses to deal with China due to its atrocious Human rights record which has seen more people slain than by Saddam Hussein."
"America signs Kyoto!"

The reason is, these things do not happen.
But im willing to listen to why you think America is so right in its policies, or the good things it does in the world.

Personally, I look at the cold war, and, though im a socialist myself, the standing up against Stalin as a major postive thing the US has contributed to the world.

If only it did the same with China. If only it did the same with Zimbabwe as it did with Saddam and Iraq. We would then have no reason to question the ethics and morals of your government.

But please, provide me with examples of the recent good your coutnry has done.

America has done wonderful things, and in my opinion our framework and constitution is the best that there is in the world. The problem that I have is with the direction that we are going. By far, more and more that our government is doing (both parties) is not in the best interest for our citizens and for people around the world. The administration is cutting holes in our constitution in the name of nation security, and our imperialistic practices around the world are creating more problems than they are solving. I can't understand how anyone who can complain about "activist judges" rewriting the constitution, can at the same time support the policies of the ever-growing executive branch.

Also, the current administration is rolling back environmental protections, and making policies that help the businessworld at the expense of the middle class.
