that's what he was polling back in 2000 as well. i know because i voted for him and i thought we were going to get the 5% he needed, but he won't this time around either.
yeah, this is true. i wish we could get Ralph the support needed for the funding, but with how close this election is shaping to be i just dont see any reason to think that is likely.
great name btw, adeline. [im assuming youre a dude..??]

hearing hillary try to rip on obama didn't make me like her anymore. when she went after mccain, that was worth hearing.
thanks, yes, i'm a dude.
"i'm a dude" was my sig for quite a while.
You wouldn't have supported her either way, though. She didn't change your mind.
Nader says what he does about Obama because people are clueless about him and his record so much of the time. Like Kal Penn going on Larry King and saying Obama is for UHC. And others saying he is anti-war. Someone one needs to break the illusion. Too many people are not looking into what they are actually voting for.
If you want to tell people the truth, make them laugh, otherwise they'll kill you.

I agree completely. People need to research their candidates and keep both eyes open when they do so. Kinda like those Nader supporters who use Obama's ownership of a million dollar mansion as proof he is an insider while nader himself is worth $4 million in 2000 and owns a "family home" worth $1.5 million that his sister lives in to keep clean for when Ralphy stops over. Plus he profits off of investments in corporations he rails against as bad.

Or how Nader's accomplishments have proven he is about what he claims to be about...no matter what stocks he owns. He has never claimed to be against owning stock in any company. And him making money off them to help bring money to his non-profits which work against these corps isn't a bad plan. He is more practical than I would be about it but using money made off a corporation against them has it's own sweet irony.
And on the issues, Nader has been consistent and thorough. His stances on the issues match mine the most and I don't feel the owning stocks issues is enough to cause me to not vote or campaign for him. Sorry.

cool. im not too strong at remembering sigs and all that, but kudos either way.
i think the thing that stands out here is that Obama is going to take care of criticizing McCain, probably far moreso than he is actually going to focus on clarifying his policies and promoting the sort of standards that left-leaning americans want our gov't to support/change. and on top of that, attacking McCain's policies and positions is less difficult than spreading butter on fresh bread. i do agree with you though in a certain sense, because if Nader would become a bit more even in his criticisms, and moreover to find points that form a common bond between McCain's form of politics and Obama's form of politics [which shouldnt really be difficult since theyre both molded from the same traditional cast of governmental duschbags].. then his role in this election would be personified and greatly enhanced.
i still dont think anything is going to change by the time November gets here, but just maybe the continued failure of america's political systems to produce acceptable levels of democracy (and hence liberty) may in turn create the type of environment/climate necessary for massive changes to finally occur.

Just like Barr will focus on McCain and how he's not a true conservative and whatnot.

i see the point but disagree with the strategy.
