I can't disagree with anything he said. In fact, I agree with him......completely.
Corporations and Corporate interests have been killing this country for decades.
Our own President comes right out and says that "sometimes money tumps Peace" and "commercial interests are very powerful through out the world"?
I mean, isn't anyone else extremely disturbed by a President who actually comes out and says this? And who's policies have completely supported this concept? Am I the only one disturbed that not only did this dumbass of a President feel comfortable enough to actually say it, but actually laughed while saying it?
Is this not what a lot of us have been completely against for years (Corporate and Commercial control of our country)?
Is this not the root to most, if not all, of the major problems on this planet?

Purplehawk thinks that Bush's comment is taken out of context, when i reality, it is one of those "honest" statements that means exactly how it sounds. It's about the global marketplace, and it is essentially true whether it be peacetime or wartime. Look at the damaging sanctions the US uses on commercial-political "rivals", as one peacetime example.
Now the real question is about how we let those assholes get that kind of leverage in the first place.

It seemed a bit contrived to me, like, all of the sudden this is some revelation to him of some kind. I think he's telling a certain segment of the viewers of his what they want to hear, and drawing other viewers who otherwise wouldn't watch his show.

It WAS out of context. He was referring to Russia and France. It was an honest statement b/c the actions of those state's are not "noble" and aren't indicative of aspirations of peace.

While that particular sound byte may be out of context, that's not really the point, here.
The point is, Bush and this Administration (and the Clintons before him, and his daddy before them...on and on) have been running (ruining) this country and large portions of the world; by the exact concept that "Corporations/Commercial Interests (and Profit) Trump Peace (and the health of our environment and of ourselves as human beings i.e clean water, soil, air and food).
It is indeed extremely disturbing that this is the way the world has been going; Corporations having such strong influence and effect on the lives and health of the people.
Bush getting up there and making that comment about Russia and France, as if Bush/Cheney haven't been doing the exact same thing, and doing it with a laugh and a grin; is dispicable.
You talk about noble? Since when is the Bush/Cheney/Clinton/Bush/Reagan....infinity Administration ...."honorable"?
Alluding to the nobleness of the Bush/Cheney admimistration is laughable, if it wasn't so sad. Give me a break!
How is the US Government/Military/ Commercial /Corporate interests any more "noble" than anyone else on the planet?
