But it's a good sign. People are standing up to this the bullshit, not backing down and being hushed up so easily.

I wish like hell that these moronic cracker jacks would keep their paranoia to themselves.

Paranoid? About what exactly? They just demanded actual answers to their questions...something the mainstrem press knows nothing about. There's probably always going to be defenders of our corrupt government like yourself no matter how much you're being lied to.

  • anyone can ask any question they feel like asking...and, anyone can decide not to answer any question which they are asked...

no one is being lied to. there was never a denial. there was never a misrepresentation.

if you slap the republican label on ANY candidate, there are those people, here, who would not vote for that person just because of that label...not based on credentials, actions, plan, etc. of the candidate...

and it wasn't a valid question when they asked why pakistan is not a target in the war on terror when the head of their isi (their cia) wired mohammed atta $100,000 shortly before 9/11????

are you saying this is posted just b/c he's a republican? i don't understand the point to your last statement

and no, i guess they weren't lied to in those clips...they just didn't have their questions answered and then were escorted out by police

I'm actually more bothered by people who want to vote for Giuliani than I am by Giuliani himself.

why were they escorted out by the police? well, the last time something was made clear to me and i didn't accept that, i was asked to refrain from such behavior and then escorted to jail.

the point of my last statement is pretty obvious. i'm not pro-republican, we all know that, but there are people here that would berate and bemoan a republican candidate for the simple fact that he/she is a republican candidate instead of basing it on the merits. the statement was a general statement...not one that went to the video.

i didn't say anything about the validity of the questions. i just said that no one was lied to in the video clip as it was presented.

let's get a definition of "large chunk" here. let's not overstate what something is or is not.

    READ!

the issue here is NOT how democrats are treated by republicans/the "right". don't deflect to something else.

I don't really get what the issue here is. A bunch of guys with a clear agenda ganged up on Rudy's rep who seemed to have no idea what they were talking about. The rep was exceedingly polite while these guys were going nuts shouting down anybody else who tried to ask questions. Frankly it seems obvious to me that the real reporter towards the end of the video was right when he said that this dude was acting like an activist and not a journalist, which is obvious since he clearly is an activist and not a journalist.

I was ready to say "RIGHT ON SISTAH", fully expecting the vid to be something about the immigration bill...then you just HAD to get my eyes rolling :)

still, i'll cut and paste your "standing up to the bullshit" take in the immigration thread, if there is one.
And you ask me what I want this year

As a former employee of ms. Kehn, the only boss that i've ever liked, i'm not sure how ANYONE could not vote for Fred!

    Look up Oklahoma Superhighway.

I was unaware until now the Guliani has a stake in this.

The questions the reporters were asking were legitimate. More reporters should be asking these questions so it won't take a scene like this to get these questions posed. Then Gulianis spokesman could have a bullshit answer prepared and a scene like this would be needed for legitimate follow up questions. More muckraking is needed.

I can see how the "real" reporter may seem right since he seems amicable, but with the complacency between media and government he doesn't have a leg to stand on accusing more agressive reporting as activism. We are better off with these guys as reporters than Judith Miller.

"The job of the newspaper is to comfort the afflicted and afflict the comfortable."

    Thanks abook.

you said that people do it to the democrats too...deflecting...i'm not shocked by your inabilities.

The irony of you telling him to learn to read in this instance has gotten me all giggly.

You made it an issue by bring up how 'some people here' just rail against Republicans just because they are republicans. To quote you:

'if you slap the republican label on ANY candidate, there are those people, here, who would not vote for that person just because of that label...not based on credentials, actions, plan, etc. of the candidate...'

Obviously you are the one lacking in the reading comprehension dept. because kabong and many others lefties have been speaking out in more than just a few threads concerning Obama and other Dems as well. So your little comment is due to ignorance...pure and simple. There's no 'deflecting' because your point doesn't have a leg to stand on....sorry. Next time do a quick search before putting your foot in your mouth.

You come across as a spiteful little ball of misery. Hope that clears up for you...if not, I'm more than a little tempted to just go ahead and put you on ignore.

ah, were you that lonely today? sorry i had things to do...and the reason i hesitate posting anything for jlew is it's common knowledge he doesn't read most of the replies to him, which he proved to me earlier in the week

and besides, i thought you said it was an 'illogical' waste of time????
