:) WOW! That was the first time I've seen that and Cafferty looked like his neck tie was on too tight hearing Palin speak. I hope you post this each time cause I STILL can't post over on the Hannity site.

She is truly a national disgrace. One of the worst since Joe McCarthy.

    "Because she's just like me."

About half of this country wants to have a president who is an average joe. I am sick of mediocrity in the white house. This country has become a fucking joke to the rest of the world.

I literally had a nightmare last night that McCain made up a percentage point every day until the election and ended up winning by a few electoral votes. What a disaster that would be.

i don't want someone like me to be president! i'd suck at it and so would the majority of this country's population....at the same time just because someone has a resume full of degrees doesn't mean they'll make a good leader either.....;) :)

I agree with you 100%. I have a law degree and am not a moron by any stretch. I am fairly confident that I am relatively intelligent, but I am pretty sure if I were president, I would be even worse than Bush. My problem is I wouldn't be able to stay focused and interested. I'd rather be chilling. I am pretty sure Sarah Palin is aching to get back to Alaska. She hates the mainland.

Also, I wouldn't be able to sleep if there were a national crisis, and I wouldn't be able to deal with it very well because I'd be too tired.

There's a difference between not understanding the First Amendment and not agreeing with it. There are lots of threads where I state categorically that it should be abolished. Now, carry on. :D

The only times I've debated the topic have been on the grounds of whether an anachronistically ambiguous concept of free speech satisfies more refined, subsequent concepts of negative and positive liberties (discussed by philosophers and lawyers in abundance). My reason for wishing for an ethically objective revision of the First Amendment is to safeguard against extreme effects of positive liberty - the freedom of an advantaged agent to utilise through language their control. Palin's comprehension of free speech would be to the advantage of the would-be autocrat against the press, rather than what was intended: the negative liberty of the people against the autocrat.

Maybe some of this and its implicit nuances flew northwest over Austin.

Let's stick to the er, topic integrity of the OP.

I think Sarah needs to re-take that basic High School Government class she ditched to go smoking behind the Wood Shop as a Freshman.

Mna, some of you guys just jump at the chance to be an asshole. Again, I wasnt referring to you but rather how many posters on this message board dont understand the 1st Amendment. Maybe that nuance flew over England, Scotland, Wales, or Ireland -- wherever you are or wish to be.

Palin's idea of the first amendment is that she has the right to lie right and left, but no one has the right to criticize her or to call her on her lies. The breadth of what this woman doesn't understand is staggering. In criticizing her, the press is keeping the first amendment strong. Nearly 60% of Americans see her an unfit for the vice presidency for a very concrete reason. She is clueless.

This response was in the context of the "fairness doctrine" yet another point carefully glossed over by libs. conservative AM radio is in the cross-hairs of the fairness doctrine that may be re-activated by a liberal agenda. And the fairness doctrine is a direct attack on the first amendment.

    from wiki:
The Huffington Post (often referred to on the Internet as HuffPo) is a liberal[1] news website and aggregated weblog founded by Arianna Huffington and Kenneth Lerer, featuring various news sources and columnists. The site covers a wide range of topics, including sections devoted to politics, entertainment, media, living, business, and the green movement. The Huffington Post was launched on May 9, 2005 as a commentary outlet. Its roster of bloggers includes many people from Arianna Huffington's network of prominent friends.
