And to think poor old Quayle got it in the neck, just for spelling "potato" incorrectly.

she said this in the debate too ... really scary shit ... as that's NOT what the constitution calls for.

    Very Cheney-esque.

maybe she'll only control the parts of congress that are representing the "real America" ... like Michele Bachman's district.

If she means it like she said, then it is scary, indeed, and runs counter to the Constitution. She definitely fucked up in the debate when she seemed to think that the VP was part of both the Executive and Legislative branches. Biden said he'd be Barak's point-man with the legislature, and his role would be to drive his administration's legislative initiatives in congress. Probably what Palin meant, but Biden is quite a bit more eloquent.

Or, maybe Palin really is Cheney, Jr. But I have trouble ascribing those evil intentions on someone who isn't a Washington insider.

what's even more interesting to me is that I'm just not as outraged and shocked as I was 6-7 weeks ago when we first met Palin. She is a walking disaster and none of this crazy shit she says surprises me anymore.

Palin's not Cheney Jr, but she did not mean what Biden said either. Just a lack of understanding is my guess.

1:14:20 .... question about Cheney's interpretation of the Constitution.

1:11:20 ... where the VP role question started.

Palin lost me a long time ago...
Instead of saying her "I can see Russia from my house" thing was a little joke or something... when she had a chance to clear it up during that Katie Couric interview... she actually tried to EXPLAIN how seeing Russia from Alaska gives her an understanding of U.S./Russian relationships!!!
    ...
At that point... I said, "I'm out".
