Bush being pissed off is speculation, of course. Still, this article hits on some good points: It seems Gordon is playing politician with Dubya, by not spitting out his secret retreat timetable in public. But otherwise, he's going according to plan, just when Bush in on his surge spulge.

  • Now is the first real test on whether or not an American pull-out would be disastrous or not. If the Iraqis can handle the situation in this area now, then it could serve as a good example of what is to come.

We shall see, September shapes up to be a very critical month in the war in IRAQ.

No wonder Bush went today for a photo op.
  • I have no idea how this is going to pan out but I just LOVE the way Gordon Brown is already making waves in his short time as Priminister.

    True Labour is back!

The economy has polarized to the point where the wealthiest 10% now own 85% of the nation’s wealth. Never before have the bottom 90% been so highly indebted, so dependent on the wealthy.

The thing about the Iraqi Security Forces... they have no alligence to the Nation of Iraq. The Iraqis based in Basra want to STAY IN BASRA. If they were ordered to deploy to Anbar, they'd probably revolt, just like the recruits that were told they'd be deployed outside of their home... and we and the Iraqi government caved in and let them have their way. They want to patrol their own regions... protect their own people... in the streets of their homes. It would be the same as if the National Guardsmen in California refused to go to Louisiana to help the Louisiana National Guard in time of need.
The Iraqis have no stake in Iraq as a nation... they have a stake in their religious sect. We are trainning and arming the militias of Al Sadr and the likes. The current Iraqi government is a joke.
