just for those who tear apart the declaration of independence,
the citizens of this country worship the laws of God and Nature,
"nature" falling under the league of God.

Just wanted to clear that up before we started taking churches out of this country.

No one wants to take the churches out of the country... we just don't want them injected into our schools and our asses.

tonight i gave a stranger a ride. he was one of America's youth. as I left my job duties for the day, he expressed he was on his way to a church. I didn't want to take him all the way to the church, but it's 95 F at 6:30 p.m. and I could not refuse someone who needed a ride. At first I was gonna take him to the local convenient store near both our residences; but I decided that he wanted to go somewhere for a reason...On the way to the church, a wasp flew into the cab; and stung the boy several times. God is nature....nature is god....now please try spelling the dog backwards.....

If you are asking me... No. Simply because Creationism is not a science.
If anything, I can see the Bible and other Holy Scriptures taught in the context of literature in an historical framework... the same way we learned about the Greek, Norse and Roman gods when I was a kid.

The wasp was being controlled by the devil, who was trying to stop the boy from getting to church. What you didn't know about the boy is that he has a an allergy to wasp stings. But, god stepped in and made sure that he would live through the devil's devious act of sabotage. In fact, it was god's plan for you to give the boy a ride to church, and for you to see with your own eyes the eternal struggle between good and evil.

no, you teach science in science classes. does anyone else feel like we're going in reverse? we got religion out of schools and politics and they're working their way back in.

let religious learnings be an elective in public schools, I don't see a problem with that, as long as it is not solely one religion that is being focused on. Give the kids a choice, not enough of us do these days

oh i agree. i should have been more specific. some of the best classes offered in my schools (college and high school) were comparative religion classes and political science classes. i meant how people want creationism in science classes and bullshit disclaimers about evolution in textbooks. not okay

When I took Philiosophy in college, in order for me to succeed in the course I basically had to accept the fact there is a God. All of our reasoning began with Him and worked forward and I had a really hard time accpeting it. I don't preach one way or the other, I am not religious, and I don't believe in God in the context that mainstream religions want us to...It was a really tough course to accpet, if I don't accpet the basic premise how can I accept anything else that follows? Luckily in Philosophy there really is no wrong answer as long as your answer is valid etc, so it did give me a chance to fight my side, but the instructor took me to task several times and philosophized my ass to shreds any time I had issues.

Just wanted to clear that up before we started taking churches out of this country.

Many of the same men who wrote the Declaration of Independence also wrote something called our constitution. In there it says there shall be a "seperation of church and state". Seperation of church and state is the reason began moving to this country, they were tired of being told how to worship.

Last I knew that was still in the constitution, or maybe I am having crazy dreams again

it's probably the crazy dreams. no i kid

who is that crazy politician women from florida that said something about how if you don't vote christians into office it's legislative sin or something. i don't get her. i saw her on msnbc (hardball i think) and she was trying to justify that comment. something about how she would tell jewish people to elect jewish officials. whatever. seperation of church and state. simple as that.

I'm assuming you are talking about Kathleen Harris who is running for Senate. You may remember her as the head of Bushs 2000 campaign in Florida, and also as the Secretary of State of Florida, who counts the votes, during the 2000 election. I believe she is in the US House right now, and all of a sudden is playing this extreme conservative Christian card...she's a lunatic and will be gone before you know it.

The Republican party in her own state isn't even backing her

thank you. couldn't remember her name and was too lazy to look.
  • [Repbulican strategist] Hey, how can we distract people from talking about the more important issues so they won't notice that we're generally on the same side?

[Democrat strategist] Talk about Creationism vs. Darwanism?

[Republican strategist] I owe you a beer, dude.

I remember it being a crucial factor in Philosophy. "Is there a God?" is a critical question philosophers have asked for eons. Why are we here? What is the meaning of life? What happens when we die? We covered all of this in my Philosophy 101 class.

    Yes,it's absolutely only fair.
This country was founded upon the Declaration Of Independence and it is more than just a document, but a valid contract withstanding the means of which this country is founded.
If those who fail to withold the regulations of this country don't like it,
they're free to leave at any time to worship whatever deity they choose
to with a country that supports their non-denominational sects.

no, the wasp being controlled by god....if this were a piece of literature and i were to analyze the story's content, i would see me as i am, a simple human, and the wasp as part of god trying to tell the boy that his love to get to god's goodness is pure and simple, but the wasp represents the particular church that the boy was trying to get to.....

    me: human=god
    boy: human=god
    wasp: species=god
church: religion= manifested by manipulation and fear

    devil: fear and seduction.....

a- greed; but not without a comment:

funny how religious people get out of church on sunday and hurry off to the casino.....;) life is a gamble though

but are these churches you so generously allow those that bow down to judeo chrisitanity? do you allow other churches and belief practices in your allowance?

The mayan calendar explains how both evolution and creation co-exist.
    Creationism IS a science.

  • The wasp is, well, hmmmm, a wasp! It does what a wasp does, it stings! I had 20 sting me in the butt when I was a kid. They stung me because I had accidently sat on their nest, not because of the 4 year old battle between God and the devil to get my soul.

We are talking about the insect, right? Not some angry little republican!
