    They intercepted emails & chat room discussions from a bunch of assholes who have pledged Al Qaeda allegiance, that foiled a plot that was still in the early stages of blowing up the Holland Tunnel, killing eveyone who was commuting through it, and hoping that would flood lower Manhattan.

    This is a great thing people. Breaking this shit up is just as important as being there to stop it when it happens, actually more important.

    It was actually the FBI that foiled the plot and from what reports are saying it was a pretty shitty plot to. Yes people would have been killed in an explosion in the Holland Tunnel but as for flooding it and lower Manhattan that would be near impossible. Regardless it was a good job.

    Well first of all there are no trucks allowed in the Holland Tunnel and it would take a truck load of explosives to make a blast powerfull enough to break the outer iron shell enough to cause the tunnel to flood. Second lower Manhattan at it's lowest point is 2 ft above sea level so no part of lower Manhattan would flood because of the tunnel flooding. Like I said a real lousy plan.

    Maybe maybe not. A blast in the Holland Tunnel during rush hour would definetly cause death and destruction but it would not cause the type of damage and devastation they planned on. I highly doubt that an attack on the scale of 9/11 can be carried out again on US soil again.

    The point was that these rejects " thought " they could flood lower Manhattan. No one from the FBI is going around saying they stopped it from being flooded.
